Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stellar game. Do you like moonlighter's gameplay loop? Farming games? Fighting games? Resource management games? Cooking? Collecting cards? Cooking mama style minigames? Good news, it's all here. Can't wait for the full release for even more DaveTM

Edit: dave you sold 1 million copies in your first week of full release I'm so proud of you. look how far you've come.
(full release is great by the way)

A short, one of a kind game that merges farming sim with turn based strategy.
Takes about 2hrs to complete the main achievement guided storyline, but you have the ability to continue playing afterward in any of the four locations. Additional quests appear, and even when those are gone, it's up to you whether or not to continue.
Very enjoyable, aside from the occasional bug of repeated news articles, though this does not impede gameplay for more than a few seconds per in game day.

I adore the story of this game, and most of the mechanics are very interesting and innovative, but ♥♥♥♥ man. You've already heard people praise this game. We've got to talk about why I haven't finished it yet.

Once you get past the second chapter, any time you die in the game, you're sent to a ten minute loading screen as apparently no one remembered the existence of incremental loading. I do not need the entire world to load when I've been running between the same three buildings for an hour. Incremental loading exists for a reason.

Doing a pacifist run makes this even more painful as your low xp makes it way more likely to be killed by a random npc while travelling between districts. Not to mention how irritating it is to try to fight a boss that has an unlimited range attack that takes half your health, when you're stuck to a range attack with only 6 uses max as there is no reload button for guns. By the time it reloads on its own, you've probably died.

Also, despite the game allegedly having no autosaves except at key story points, whenever you die in a boss fight, it remembers how many serums you used and puts you back into the fight with those gone. Which of course, makes it even less likely to win the fight, getting you stuck in an endless death loop until you somehow manage to defeat the boss as there is no way to load a previous save. And I'm sure you can guess how fun an endless death loop is with those loading screens.

I will say, people who criticize the game for having bad things happen after choosing a dialogue option are being unfair. You are meant to gain extra clues from elsewhere to understand what each dialogue option means. Please only criticize things that are actually broken, such as the loading times, or you will not be taken seriously. This is why the game has never been patched.

I will finish this eventually. And I do recommend it as the storyline is very enjoyable. But that will not happen anytime soon as this is apparently not something I can continue to play without upgrading my brand new computer, despite being able to run more graphical and ram heavy games like Cyberpunk 2077 on my ♥♥♥♥ ass old laptop.

Whether you've never played the original 2012 release, or if you've played through every update, this is a great game to add to your library. $13 for a piece of horror game history. Just be prepared to hurt, no matter the ending you get. Ib is known for being bittersweet and brutal.

Also of note: there's no modding features, so none of the "good" endings of the fanmade green version, and the requirements for Promise of Reunion have changed.

Two tarot cards are missing (Judgement & The World). While yes, Coloring Pixels dlcs are usually 20 images each, this has been broken for other packs such as community art, r/place, and the advent calendars. The major arcana of tarot are not meant to be separated. If you intend to make a dlc tied to something with spiritual or religious meaning, whether presented under that context or otherwise, understand the background first.

This doesn't even take into account how terribly repetitive the dlc pictures are in the first place. Tarot decks are a showcase of art. These cards being mostly black and white is not an excuse. For example, take the artwork of "The Hermetic Tarot", "The Wanderer's Tarot", "The Dark Exact Tarot", and "The Ascension Tarot". All of these are in black and white, yet they are highly acclaimed works of art due to the diversity of the designs.

As someone who owns all of the dlc for Coloring Pixels, and the majority of dlc for other ToastieLabs games, this is an incredibly disappointing cashgrab that's clearly capitalizing off the resurgence of witchcraft as an aesthetic and the incorrect portrayal of their materials in media.

If your partner is drunk, they should not be the one directing you through the maze.

The puzzles are very fun and the mechanics are easy to learn quickly. The difficulty progression is also well balanced. My only gripe is that there's an awful lot of glitches where the room will turn and get stuck halfway, or an enemy will move and be able to shoot you through a wall. Overall, it's worth a try if you like puzzle games.
