CSGO has now become one of those Korean/Chinese Counter Strike ports with the hot women and characters and stuff. Glorious. The return of Counter-Strike: Extreme is glorious.

With Valkyria Chronicles 4 on the horizon, all I can say is where's the HD ports for 2 & 3?

The already frenetic energy of Verdun is now amplified. Running through open plains with teammates dying left and right has never been so traumatizing.

I am heavily biased towards this game. To say that this is my favorite game of all time, would be an understatement. This is the game. This is what the pinnacle of gaming is. Other games can only hope to try and reach this level. This is it.

From PS2 until now, I am continuing to replay this game for roughly the 60th time.

In the end, PS2 version still is the best version, by virtue of being more complete.

All of the characters are good, but my boi Rock Howard and Yamazaki are good as hell. Music is actually pretty good, I just wish instrumentation was a lot less synthy. And the artbook let me jack it to Mian more.

The prettiest looking KoF game no doubt. Though you can get infinited online. Online netcode is pretty bad.


F*ck the Trials.

2022 update

After playing actually good KoF games like 98, this game is absolutely inexcusable. Awful normals, limited moveset because of the oh so lauded sprites, and absolutely awful universal system in the form of the Drive Cancel.

F*ck this game and what it did to the perception of what KoF games should be. Play 98oomfie or XV instead. They're actually good KoF games.

It's good. I liked it. Graphics, like everybody and their mother said, is pretty lackluster, but I've played Skullgirls to the point where I ignored the fanservice and just saw a bunch of hitboxes moving around.

Speaking of hitboxes, why the heck is there no hitbox viewer in training? I don't think it would have been much to do.

All in all, I think it's well worth your money. I never pre-order games, but because I played the PS4 version at my friends house so much, I bought this not only to satisfy myself for a new fighting game, but also to support SNK and their future endeavors.

The greatest game ever, AM I RIGHT FELLAS?!
