UPDATE: Microsoft support was garbage and told me this was just a bug since Sim Update 10 (~Jun) and will be allegedly fixed in a patch. I reopened my ticket multiple times to no avail. HOWEVER, I found a fix:

Disable Steam Cloud
-Under General settings, uncheck "Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Microsoft Flight Simulator"

Delete local data
-Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\#userid# and delete folder 1250410

Personally I had to enable Safe Mode on next prompt for it to work as well.

It just keeps crashing on custom flights. Everything else, like Discovery Flights and Training Missions works fine. But as soon as I make a custom flight (which is what I really bought it for) it crashes right away.

I've been through dozens of forums posts for troubleshooting, I just bought the game/sim and have absolutely zero custom content or add-ons. Its just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken. Also, I have a brand new ~$3k rig so its not hardware. The support is trash so far, and I can't recommend this game until they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ their ♥♥♥♥.

I want to like this title, but it falls short of the two things its trying: its bad at crew management and even worse at simulation. I couldn't lose myself in immersion and couldn't find joy in the crew. For those that say its a mix of a "Sims" and SH: just know it misses the mark on both. I wish I could enjoy it, but it seems to not nail much of anything except graphics.

I only wanted to play so I could play as a bomber, turns out you have to buy gold to unlock that.

It has a cash shop for gold. It took seven seconds to build a farm, but 20 minutes to harvest the wheat. No thanks.
