There were a lot of things I really liked about this game. I feel like they've improved on the movement and cover system, I love the follow on abilities that essentially extend your turn, and I liked the setting.

What I didn't like is the near reliance on save scumming in some cases to not get massacred. Enemies spawning in with zero indication of where they're coming from is a cardinal sin that other games of this genre long since addressed. RNG that is nonsense at best is another - missing literally seven times in a row with everyone having a 60%+ hit chance is absurd.

Overall it's not a bad game, but I'd personally wait for it to go on sale unless you just badly want to play a Gears game.

Poorly developed garbage that feels like a bad arcade port from ten years ago. Instructions are in broken English, graphics are dated, gameplay itself is super janky, controls only intermittently do what they're supposed to, and some genius decided to stick your inventory almost literally at face height. Do not buy.

Avoid. I love the Munchkin games and was very interested in a Gauntlet-style multiplayer version that would let you compete against your friends while dungeon crawling.

Unfortunately, unless you regularly have friends that physically come to your house along with multiple extra controllers just lying around, it's basically worthless. It also feels like a mediocre port from another platform, as it's nearly unplayable without a controller.

Early Access Review
I'd avoid this game for now.

Pros:
+ It's Warhammer 40k.

Cons:
- It appears to have been abandoned by the developers.
- It cannot be launched in desktop mode if you have a VR system.
- VR support is sketchy at best, and the game is literally unplayable on the Vive due to the controllers not being recognized.

What I expected: Left 4 Dead 2 with Warhammer 40K paint.

What I got: Left 4 Dead 2 with Warhammer 40K paint, a solid campaign, and a pretty well-designed squad management and customization system.

People complaining about loading times need to upgrade - most of my rig's components are around three years old and this game loads significantly faster than, say, Doom. I have yet to experience a single crash. So far I really have no complaints, it's exactly what I expected it to be: a solid, squad based objective driven murderfest.

I can't really recommend this yet. The AI badly needs rebalancing, as does the combat in general. I'm fine with weapons that aren't hitscan pixel-point accurate murder machines, but it's incredibly common to miss while iron sighting at ranges where even a blind geriatric could successfully score a hit.

The spawn placement of the artifacts sometimes is a giant middle finger as well.

Great concept, just still very clearly alpha quality. Recommendation will probably change to a yes once there's more functionality and features implemented.
