The game reminds me heavily of those old school facebook games where you do something and it takes days/weeks.
In the standard game mode, it's a simplified RTS where you expand with the goal to take over the sol system as a sort of "king of the hill". There is also skirmish against AI which didn't appeal to me.

The story generation is likely the alliances. Given enough players, this is a promising social strategy game where you work with others to take over regions of space, like an "EvE online lite". On this front, your forces that can take days to arrive can be countered, strategies and faints can be utilised.
Reminds me a bit of stellaris, in that you customise your ships, gather similar resources, and research upgrades to your ships, but instead of speeding up the game, you slow it right down.

Overall, I would recommend the game if you want something you log into for an hour every couple days to update, and every now and then have a major kerfuffle and organise fights, however I think the main draw is the multiplayer, and that relies on people playing it, which doesn't seem to be more than a dozen at a time atm.

I love peggle/pachinko style games. This one is rediculously fun. It's my go to for this game genre and the rogue-like elements (reminds me of slay the spire) are welcome and add a great deal of fun to the game.

Like if Vampire Survivors required less control, but more planning.

When I was a kid I played Spyro the dragon and mario 64. I loved the idea and hated the game
When I play this game, It's like playing those games, but it's perfect. The music is too good. It should not be this good. I wish there was more, because I bop along while my ball is bouncing against others, and love it.

I did not once ever feel tired or bored. I loved everything. I played by myself, I played with family. It is tongue-in-cheek humour about the most amazing stuff, and let me tell you:
These balls are filled with more emotion and acting skill than AAA Games.
And if you are on the fence, just look at every. single. achievement.

Hard recommend, this is a MUST play, if you enjoy light dumb fun and historical/film tropes.

You ever see those charts with exponential graphs?
You know, it starts off gradual and then by the end it's a vertical wall? That is the value for the fun in this game.
You NEED to experience this game, you will like it, then you will love it!

I've been playing poker games since vegas stakes on gameboy when I was a wee lad, texas hold'em on facebook back when jackbox "you don't know jack" was a facebook game, and I have hosted a texas hold'em tournament on twitch.
I don't play for money, I just like the card mechanics; specifically of hold'em.

This game adds the mechanic of cheating, which I thought was going to be pretty meh, but gosh dang does it really change up the mind games. You go in thinking "easy, I am gonna win every hand. But then you get the mental gymnastics of the "level" where one of the players always has an ace as one of their cards. Or the opponent that only requires 4 cards for a straight.
It just adds so much fun to a known quantity. The settings, style and animations are just the cherry on top. I love that there are so many characters and they all have their little lore.

If you love poker and wished card shark had an emphasis on the cardplay, this is for you.

Both relaxing and challenging. Oddly satisfying. Loved it at first play.

8hrs in, thought I'd beaten pretty much everything and mastered the autonomous cycle - 12hrs in realised there was a whole nother part of the game. Heavily recommend for a casual pickup game.
