Been a long time since I've had this much just pure fun in a game.

Had a couple of crashes over these 128 hours, but otherwise it runs well, plays well and is just incredibly fun.

In-game story and community is awesome and they have an employee driving the main war campaign in the game adding lore and story as we go, live service done absolutely right. Already added a bunch of free weapons and stratagems since release.

Defo worth the price, no predatory monetization as is sadly common in other games. You buy "war bonds" for their in-game currency Super Credits the war bonds act sort of like a Season pass or much more like a DLC, it's permanent, no time limit so you can grind it out at your own pace and buy it whenever you want.

You can find Super Credits while just playing the game or buy them in the store, but the big thing is YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO! No FOMO, no crazy pop-ups or anything. So far me and my friend have unlocked both of the 2 new added war bonds (You start out with one big one free) without paying any additional real money.

A hard recommend from me and you the game only keeps getting better.

Join the fight and dive on in, for Freedom and Liberty!

Bought the game a long time ago and really enjoyed it during EA.

Ignoring the obvious server issues they've had on launch (which seem to have mostly been resolved now) I've been having a lot of fun with the game. The classes, itemization and skill trees are great. A few boss encounters seem to be a tad out of sync with their animations/hitboxes etc. but other than that it's been a blast tbh. Good in-between complexity of preschool D4 and PHD PoE.
Looking forward to seeing what they keep adding during their "cycles" in the future. :)

7/10 maybe?

I don't recommend buying this in its current state.

I'm only on Hazard level 3 and already feeling like I don't want to progress anymore because it feels meaningless and tedious. Most upgrades are +% damage, +% fire rate, +% reload time reduction etc. (BORING!)

Then you get the cooler things like the overclocks which actually change damage types (No in game description of what damage types actually do though, whats the difference between fire and acid dots? Not a clue!) and a few of them add/change functionality of a weapon (FUN!).

At the moment there seem to be 3 maps that have the same end boss, same enemy types and only differ visually except for the first map having some breakable crystals, the second map having a bit of lava on the ground that hurts you if you walk on it and the third map having annoying vines blocking your path.

Meta progression also seems meh, mining is kinda fun and gives you something to hunt for on the maps, but spending a couple of runs worth of minerals on "+1% crit chance" doesn't feel very fun either.

My tip is to hold off on this game for 6 months or so and see if they've turned it around, because right now there are both better and cheaper alternatives out there.

I really enjoyed this game, the art, the way the story was presented and the combat was interesting enough for the 11 hours it took to explore the game. :)
Bought it on sale! :)

Amazing game, good puzzles and smooth gameplay.
A tad short, beat it in about 2-2,5 hours. :)

I don't know man, it just keeps crashing a couple of times per hour making you lose like 10 minutes each time.
Annoying as heck, happens mostly when demolishing and rebuilding roads. Give this more time :/

Dudes abandoned the project. Didn't deliver on what was promised after six years they basically went from version 0.5 to slapping a "1.0" tag on it without actually pushing an update. Clown devs, don't buy this abandonware junk.

Love the idea, hate the way the game has been handled.

Recently announced the "final major update" completely ignoring the community's cries for balancing, settings menu's, the lack of a save option, UI glitching and scaling, game speed options etc etc.

Can't recommend in it's current state especially if it's the final state.

Seems like he took the money and ran on this one. :(

Refunded, native multiplayer could be implemented so friggin easily it's laughable at this point to just do local with remote play support. Remote play = Game is local on my friends computer meaning I join in on a buggy stream and the save for our game is local on his computer meaning I can never play my character unless he is online.

Update 4: It's getting there, slowly but steadily. A lot of improvements have been done over the months, crafting is in a better state, the new class systems are interesting and they've added a couple of more missions so to say. Soundtrack is still absolutely banging. A couple of more updates and this review will probably be a updated to recommended. :)

Update 3: Game is still in an incredibly poor state, unstable, crafting is still garbage and no new content except for like a map and a few weapons if I remember correctly. Subclasses were to be added evere 2-3 months, but 9 months later and nothing. :(

Update 2: We now got an update letter from Fatshark saying sorry they screwed up and that they are delaying their Xbox console release and will be working to fix the game over the next couple of months. So there you have it folks, hold off on buying it till the end of the year and the game might be in a good state!

Update: It has now been over a month since the last communication from Fatshark, we have no information at all at what they are going to do with this mess they have created. 1 month of radio silence while your game is on fire is not the way to handle it, people are angry, Fatshark is in trouble and the game is in a terrible state.

Like many others I have pumped a bunch of hours into this game now and sadly I can't recommend it in its current state.

They should have held off on the release for another 6 months or so imo.

Game is clearly not finished.

Intro is great, after that the story is weak. Literally 20 second cutscenes every 3rd level with someone telling you you need to prove your worth to the cause.

Graphics are neat, FPS is decent even on my old comp.

4 classes with only 1 subclass each atm, which would be fine if the gameplay loop made sense.

You queue for 1 of 11 maps (1 newly added) which most are the "same" map with different routes as of writing this:

Chasm Terminus x 3
Hourglass x 2
Metalfab 36 x 3
The Torrent x 1
Throneside x 3

So it's really more like "5 maps"

Add to this that there is a difficulty lock on the maps (which rotates every few hours or so) but that means that at any given time for the difficulty you want to play there are only 2-3 missions available to you.

Sure there are modifiers and content is somewhat dynamic but it really feels like it isn't enough to keep you engaged.

The progression system:
Every 5 levels you unlock a perk on your character, 3 of the levels on the way to 30 give you item slots for "Curios" and then you're at the mercy of the RNG of the hourly shop refresh to get new weapons (no armor it's all cosmetic) since they skipped out on adding crafting to the game before launch because that key feature wasn't ready. smh

And that's kind of all there is to it at the moment.

Gameplay is fun and engaging so there is a foundation here for sure, but there are a myriad of things blocking this title from being good. I'd say hold off on buying until they fixed and added a lot more to this game or pick it up if it goes on a 50% sale or the like.
