The following is a review of the Halo Infinite Campaign:

343 Industries delivers a worth addition to the beloved Halo Series, with this instalment. While the game most certainly uses nostalgia to a degree, it manages to capture the essence of a Halo game, almost perfectly. Infinite also serves as a great introduction to the series for newcomers.

The gameplay is exactly what one would expect from a Halo game. The gunplay is responsive, accurate, and feels great. The power weapons actually feel powerful. The voice-acting is outstanding, and Jen Taylor returns to voice the series beloved AI once again.

The campaign took roughly 20 hours to finish, with a bit of running around doing a few side-objectives here and there.
I've far from collected every collectable in the game. I've yet to test out any of the Skulls, so I imagine there are still many hours of entertainment to be had from the game.

For me, this remains a definitive BUY, and I really look forward to what 343 will do with the series, going forward.

Deep Silver delivers a fantastic game with Chorus. The gameplay offers a spaceship dog-fighting game, with responsive controls, reminiscent of the Ace Fighter games, but set in a zero-g environment.

Despite the, quite honestly silly review of this game from Polygon, I find the voice-acting and storytelling of this game to be far beyond what I could expect from a game for 40 USD. In my opinion, the game offers an engaging story, which could only have been better had it been longer.

The music is amazing, and the sound-design is mind-blowing. All of the weapons, and abilities sound impactful and feel great to use.

The only grievance I have with this game, is that the main story only takes about 10-12 hours. Slight spoiler warning: Maybe we could have seen more from Nara's past. Perhaps the game could have started back when she was still with the circle, or even before she became an Elder. Maybe experienced more of the story revolving around the relationship she had with the Prophet.

Oh and I want to play more as The One. #Powerfantasy

All in all, this is a definitive recommend from me. Absolutely worth those 40 USD, and even more so if you pick it up on a sale.

Word of advice: This game is a drug. Worse, even.

After 448 hours in this game, I feel like I've yet to scratch the surface on the endless depth of this game.

With all it's mods and the extremely helpful community, I can't think of any other game I can recommend higher than Factorio.

Vigil Games and THQ Nordic delivers a satisfying continuation to the story of War, the first of the four horsement that we we're introduced to in Darksiders. This time the story follows Death, as he fights to reclaim his brothers lost soul, and the actions and consequences Death faces through this endevour.

The game plays and handles well for a hack-and-slash game. It is fun and rewarding, though some mechanics can be easily cheesed. The storytelling, both in the visual aspects of the leveldesign itself and in the audio and cutscenes makes for incredible immersion in the matters of Death.

You'll need a lot of time and patience, slight bit of intelligence and you have yourself an amazing game! Definitely one of the more best games of 2011.

Revisiting this in review in 2020:

2070 is to date one of the best RTS/City-sim games available. It offers an amazing, immersive world, set in a bleak, but hopeful future. In a world ravaged by climate-change you are tasked with building communities that can thrive, either in harmony with nature, or by exploiting nature.
Three playable "factions" exist, though throughout any non-campaign playthrough, you're able to aquire and build buildings and units from all three, regardless of whichever you start with.

Ubisoft delivered, in my opinion, a fantastic game for fans of RTS and City-sims alike, with a new take on resource management. Well worth the price, especially with the added content from DLCs
