Brilliant game, fantastic job Amazon. 12/10. Queues really suck but that is MMO's on launch. Its getting better every day. Queues 13k at launch, then 0 at 6am day 1. Queues started 7.30am day 1, 9.00am day 2, 11.00am day 3.

"This is the birth of a new genre of gaming..."

No Mans Sky in a word is "fun". In essence it is a discovery, crafting and mining game, albeit in an infinitely creative environment, the fun comes from just making things work, learning the language, discovering new combinations in an endless variety and really just learning... constantly. Its hugely creative, you can choose what you want to do and all things are generally ways to improve your chances. The game shines in making the truly mundane, no longer. Everything is focused.. it is all about achieving objectives. Everything you do has a purpose. Everything is about improving your lot in life. Nothing is more motivating than that.

It is a massive game, where the limits really need you to discover them. Learning a language. So your just getting used to one planet then discovering an entirely new ecosystem on another. I will probably spend 30 hours just in my solar system, then eventually I will go elsewhere. And the replay-ability is immense. Once I know how to do things, I can go back, do it again in half the time. This is a hell of a good game and I heartily recommend it to anyone. The variety and the exploration is just worth it.

This is the birth of a new genre of gaming... and I am seriously looking forward to what comes next.

Fantastic single player game with great visuals and an excellent story line. Vulkan graphics API is fantastic.

Some of the best level design I have seen in a modern shooter.

Multiplayer only DLC add-ons are disappointing as we would love more story...

This game is truly a fun adventure romp. Magnificent settings, great lighting it is a worthy addition to the genre.

With an ever growing array of things that Lara is able to do it is pure enjoyment for those who like this kind of game. I have to say that towards the end things became a little repetitive (challenges) but regardless I really enjoyed the story, something that is often lacking from modern games.

Technically is an outstanding achievement with high spec graphics giving you gorgeous visuals. In fact I came back to finish this game because I scored a 32" 4K UHD IPS screen paired with a GTX1080 and the visuals so impressed me I started playing games again in general. This one I particularly enjoyed. Watching Lara climbing a wall in 4K is enchanting. Her shivering in the cold was particularly well done and provided some grit.

I enjoy a good story and I was not disappointed. With multiple characters and a strong story arc it is something we have come to expect from the franchise and we have not been let down. While I found Lara a bit too fragile for my liking it was interesting and somewhat engaging. I can't quite put my finger on it but for some reason I wasn't cheering Lara on. I was more watching her with an observers eye as I couldn't really empathise with her as I would have thought.

The deaths were many, as you would expect learning how to do things usually involved a fall or two. The gruesome way they were detailed is something new to this reboot. I am not really sure I like it that much. While it adds an element of the macabre it pulls me out of the moment. Does everything have to result in immediate death? Maybe this is just a way to avoid having an impairment system which I feel would be more realistic to the story.

Overall it is a tremendous achievement. A balls to the wall romp through and adventure where death awaits around every corner. Beautifully detailed and technically excellent I can't help but recommend this game to others.
