I'm mostly a casual player, that is somewhat invested into a games. I do not have proffesional gaming skills, but it doesn't hinder my enjoyment playing a game. It's not only about how you play, but who you are playing with.

I'm into playing online games with someone. After long solo play in multiplayer games, such games became less interesting, so to return some taste for them I look for people that like playing them together as well.

I'm pretty much into almost all genres, but it is highly dependant on how the game looks and plays. So I do long digging on games with specific features, because popular games sometimes happen to not have them.

Another Important thing is that I'm fan of Free To Play games. Sure many of such titles are badly made cash grab with no redeemable qualities, but there are good and average examples out there.
Like "Warframe", "Blacklight: Retribution" and "Champions Online".

To see if the Free To Play game is good enough to keep on playing, subtract the micro transactions and heavy grinding content - then analyze the results whether the game can still be enjoyable and worth coming back to it.
After all, if the game fails delivering fun from start, why pay for it? Not just money, but actual real time being spent on grinding.
And grinding should be done only while it's fun.
