As a fan of metroidvanias in general and someone who considers Castlevania: SoTN one of their all-time faves, I have nothing but the absolute highest praise for this game. The death punishment is harsh and sometimes unforgiving but it makes it all the more rewarding when you succeed and really motivates you to develop your technique. The environments are beautifully drawn and the world and characters beautifully and thoughfully written. You can tell a lot of love went into this game. If you've ever considered a game like Hollow Knight but have been on the fence, let me implore you here: this game is fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an immersive and exploration-driven experience. Hollow Knight really sets the bar for what metroidvanias can be and Team Cherry pumping out free DLC is just the sweetest cherry on top (pun intended). Thank you so much for this game Team Cherry.
