Wow is all I have to say about this game

its ok i guess

Still haven't been able to play because of the FATAL ERROR problem, and no word from devs on a possible fix.

Beautiful and amazingly atmospheric game, definitely worth playing.

Overkill have announced that they signed a deal with Starbreeze that transfers all of the PAYDAY franchise back to their ownership and have removed the "pay-for" feature of all future safes, previously requiring the purchase of a $2.49 drill. In addition, the control of the game's updates are back in the hands of the players and Overkill. I will be changing my review from negative back to positive, and wish to congratulate Overkill on a job well done. Below are brief statements about the game I made awhile back about the whole micro-transaction fiasco, if you still care to read about it.

Overkill have addressed the issues stated below, but, in my opinion, gave lackluster answers to the community's questions. My review still stands as negative, and will stay so until they give us a long-term solution and/or compromise. I am overall disappointed with Overkill.

Below is my original review of Payday 2. Back then I loved it. I don't anymore. With the recent additions of MICROTRANSACTIONS, which were promised to never be present in the game, they have officially gone back on their word and deceived the community once again. I am unfortunately changing my review to a negative one, and it will stay like that until they have formally addressed the issues the community has with their actions.

Payday 2 is the definitive co-op shooter. The game relies heavily on cooperation which I like. You choose from multiple ways to attempt a heist. Go in guns blazing? Maybe try the backdoor? Kill the guards and disable the cameras? The option is yours, the player, to choose.

Payday 2 also has a unique weapon system. You can make any weapon you want, wether that be a long range sniping rifle, or a close quarters shotgun. There are hundreds of combination options to make your gun unique. In addition to weapon personalization, there is mask customization as well. You can't just feel and sound like the true heister. You have to look the part!

The game also features a skill tree. You can spend points under the Mastermind, Enforcer, Technician, and Ghost trees. If you have a team balanced in all four trees, you will be unstoppable. Each tree has specific skills that compliment the others well.

On top of all this, Overkill is supplying the players with a constant stream of content, both free and pay-for. They listen to the community well, and often deliver items and features the community desires.

Payday 2 has got to be my favorite shooter, by far. I reccomend this game to anyone new to the genre, AND to the veterans of the shooter. Please support this company and purchase this videogame. You won't regret it. See you on the streets of D.C.

Absolutely terrible game. You can't even kill a single floor. All you kill is these stupid monsters. I feel lied to.
