Alpha Prime (Released: 7 Nov 2007, Acquired: 23 Jan 2014)

Given that I got the game in 2014 (7 YEARS after release), this game still has much kick being put into it. I wouldn't go into the plot since steam already has it.

As an overview, I am going to say that this game has a feel of an old school shooter. Health do not regenerate and health packs are needed, replenishing your oxygen supply is also in order out in martian soil. One is able to carry around 7-8 weapons, going around getting creative on how you want to kill your next enemy. Oh, and sometimes out in martian environment, you get to drive a jeep of some sort. Graphics are as that of the 2000s, not great but bearable, not bad for a 2007 game, but we all seen better. The sound wise, loops and loops of action music played through when you are dealing with enemies, voice acting is OK, although sometimes it can be quite laughable.

Next I am going to list the Pros and the Cons of this game.
PROS:
old school shooter
challenging (due many factors)
explorable environments and multiple entry points and ways to begin a gunfight
get to play with a lot of weapons
intriguing storyline
no gore (if you do not like gore)

CONS:
overpowered enemies (contributes to it being challenging)
lack of health packs lying around (you need them due to OP enemies and this contributes to it being challenging)
repetitive gameplay (explore, shoot people, find important plot points, shoot more people!)
linear gameplay (kind of expected in a 2000's game)
loopy music (can get on your nerves)
no gore (if you LOVE gore)

In conclusion, I would not recommend this game in the current age, although if you are one of those people that would fancy yourself a challenge or you are into that kind of old school shooter style. If you want a relaxing game you can shoot people in the face without really worrying about health, this game is totally not for you.

I may have left out a few pointers here and there, would love some comments and feedback on my reviews so improvements are in order.

If you are looking for a fun to play game with cute characters and such, this is the game for you. This game focuses a lot on the co-operative play together with online users to clear dungeons and levels. It seems to be a very good place sociallise to other players but the other players barely speak much.

You start off as playing for free and the adventure of you advancing through the multiple randomly generated levels of the underground to train and get materials and coins. The game has a very apealing toony style, from the infrastructures to monsters to the characters you are using. It all seems fine and dandy as you were expecting to reach high levels and be stronger than ever, until there is a level wall. This is the moment when you will realise that this game is sort of like a "pay to level up more" game, and not totally free if you are to complete your quest for the ultimate levels.

In conclusion if you are looking for a game that you can team up with online players and fight along side with them with the cutesy environment and characters, then this is the game for you, but be prepared to spend a little cash to advance your levels as the game progresses.

For me, I personally do not recommend this game since I first thought it was a full free to play and complete game. It shocked me that I would have to pay to continue levelling up, that totally killed the mood. Although it is a money making strategy through online games, it would have been better that they do not ambush players with that strategy and told them about it from the start.
