having a great time so far! this game reminds me of a sekiro/dark souls blend and kind of a bit like wukong too with the chinese lore. very fast paced, very difficult. satisfying.

pros:
-combat feels good. maybe just a little more fine tuning could make it a bit more fluid but it still feels good/fun. many of the bosses have me feeling like I'm actually breaking a sweat. love it

cons:
-this game runs your system extremely hard. don't get me wrong it's gorgeous. but I had to turn almost EVERY setting to low, resolution locked at 1920x1080p 60fps and I even then I STILL can't get a consistent 60fps on a nvidia 3090 with 5950x cpu, m.2 ssd for boot and separate m.2 ssd for the game. not sure if the game isn't optimized much or what. the fact that I can't play it at 1080p 60fps on lowest settings makes no sense to me. @DEVS please help lol

one problem with gaming nowadays is that everyone automatically wants to compare a new game to the closest possible existing game that they can think of.

let be be very clear: THIS GAME IS NOT LETHAL COMPANY

I actually don't really like lethal company very much. I think this game is much more fun.

and quite frankly, every low/mid-poly multiplayer horror game that comes out is not automatically lethal company.

does lethal company have boss battles? no. and there's a list of many things that separate this game from lethal company

try new things and formulate your own opinion for yourself instead of just reading that some gamer somewhere said "it's kinda like lethal company" because I can assure you this game is far better than lethal company in my opinion

This game is DOPE! I would say it is very well made. Haven't really encountered many/any bugs and so far seems like it's optimized great. All actions are very responsive. This game is CRAZY and it makes you work for it. It's absolutely horrifying at times and great to play with friends you will have the whole squad yelling. Graphics are also beautiful. The lighting is very good, when it's dark it is DARK. So many different types of anomalies that can kill you. Thoroughly enjoying this game right now.

I also submitted a ticket on the Focus website and they responded to my ticket saying that they are investigating these issues still but no fix at this time and they did not provide any ETA.

I'm no longer wasting my time trying to find a fix. I have almost 2000 games on steam and this is the only one that is having this issue. It's not an issue with my system. This game is very clearly the issue and I highly suggest anyone else experiencing similar issues to report this game as broken on steam.

Game won't even launch. I have a nvidia 3090 gpu, AMD 5950x cpu, 128gb ddr4 ram, m.2 ssd for boot and the game is installed on a separate m.2. When I launch the game it pops up with the anticheat screen loading. After that it goes full screen just black and says not responding. No amount of troubleshooting I seem to do fixes it. I can't even get to the main menu.

Figured out to get it to launch literally just click launch from steam and WAIT and eventually it will load. DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING ELSE UNTIL IT LOADS.

The default setting when the game starts is set to UNLIMITED FRAME RATE. Like good lord my computer was pushing 240fps in 1440p my computer was just an absolute space heater until I locked the framerate to 60.

Even after turning unlimited framerate off I realized simply the act of LAUNCHING THE GAME pushes my GPU and CPU so incredibly hard that both temperatures will reach around 90 celsius almost instantly.

When I am able to start the actual campaign the gameplay freezes literally almost 10 seconds. It is like a 50% chance of it crashing whenever it freezes otherwise it just freezes every 10 seconds.

Also sometimes the mission gameplay will get sent into a loading screen saying "disconnected" and "changing host" and will just send you back to the beginning of the mission. Absolutely ridiculous.

Turned everything to lowest settings, vsync off. Even changed display setting to 1920x1080p and being in the main menu or in the mission runs my CPU/GPU up to 90 celsius almost instantly.

My conclusion right now is that it's terrifying to run this game because of how insanely hard this game appears to be pushing my system even when all settings are turned down/off and I believe that the game is breaking because of something like that. Besides that I also think the servers are not built for the magnitude and are just bogged down right now too.

Ain't it something that everyone here paid 80-100 bucks for this just for it to be completely unplayable for half the community.

it's amazing but as an english speaker i've had a hard time while using the group finder to find parties that speak english/that don't kick me so i've basically had to beg all my friends to get the game

The entire DLC got nerfed. Such a sad day. Glad I beat most of the bosses pre-nerf but honestly I might not even bother to finish the DLC now and just play something else instead because I really don't care to play a souls game on easy mode.

Imagine a game developer like fromsoft (known for making hard games) making a game that's supposed to be difficult, and then all the woke complainers who are bad at the game review bombing the the DLC.

Fromsoft should have put out a public statement saying "git gud casuals" but instead they nerfed the game. Sad.

If this is how things are going to continue into the future, the souls series has already dug its own grave and they are going to chase away any true fans who have stuck around since the beginning.

Just like how Radahn was one of the best bosses in gaming history until they nerfed it a week after launch. Smh.

this game is amazing. the story is moving. the gameplay is fire. this game is literally art. would absolutely play again

in terms of difficulty i do feel obligated to mention that sekiro is a lot more difficult
