While I applaud this game from a artistic standpoint (Most popular maps are well laid out, look nice despite the dated engine - more on that later, and the skins can be beautiful sometimes), at this point there are many things that just make this game an unenjoyable experience at least for me.

First off, the Source engine which powers this game is a dinosaur, having had its roots in the GoldSrc engine (ya know, the one that powered the 1998 classic Half Life?). Valve has yet to bring this game to Source 2, and still runs as a 32bit executable last time I checked. The engine is well past outdated, and more like a patchwork of mods to an engine from another era.

The community can be pretty toxic, while you get some cool people they are like a needle in a haystack. I'd say play with your friends, but even doing that carrys an expectation to play well, to perform. And then, at least in Europe, you constantly get paired with people who can't even speak English which is a death sentence in a game where teamwork is key.

Finally, the skill ceiling is so high that it's just not worth it at this point. Youd need hundreds of hours of practice just to get out of silver unless you are naturally good and specific knowledge for each map just to have a chance at doing well. 50 hours a least I've spent practicing and gotten nowhere. And then valve can just remove a map and poof, all that time you spend learning angles to hold and nades to throw has been wasted

All in all this game just isnt fun anymore. I'd rather play Minecraft or something than this. Play at your own risk to your health, because if you take it serious you will burst a blood vessel

A good game, fast paced and decent physics. Fun with both online and local multiplayer. Local multiplayer is shared split screen. Fun with friends and at parties. Good as a quick hop in, hope out game. Played it with the Steam Controller, plays pretty well. Would recommend if you like simple racing games.

A must have for new and experienced gamers alike. The game starts off slow but within the confines of the few hours the game runs for it works itself up to an exciting ending. You should be able to play the game in one sitting, however less experienced players may find it'll take longer. It's a great way to get people into the wonderful world of video games.
