They broke it running under Proton on Linux when they added EAC. It's a non-competitive, non-ranked game. See a hacker? Just leave the game. You didn't need to ruin it for us who decide we want to use our computers the way we want to. We might be a small group, but we exist. And now we won't play your game, because those who use Linux choose it. If I could refund I would.

TL;DR: A 2D action filled Stanley Parable with an anime girl protagonist.

Almost reminds me if NieR: Automata's protagonist and enemies (protagonist is a female android - ICEY, and the enemies are these machine things) were placed in a Stanley Parable style situation (lots of banching endings with a narrator to boot) and was a 2D scroller.

Decent music (though I think the dev could have done a better job on the looping, it's not entirely seemless and you can hear where the track ends and loops back to the start - can also get a little repetitive).

Movement is mostly binary: you are either standing still or running, no inbetween except for a dodge mechanic. Combat is ok, but you can get through it mostly by spamming main attack and then throwing in some special moves, and as a result gets a little repetitive. Enemies are intresting but also can get a little repetitive but the odd boss/slightly OP enemies thrown in keeps you on your toes. Enemies also get progressively stronger throughout the story but don't scale with you, rather it's the area that you are in. This means that when you level up skills later and then return to the start you can cut through the bad guys like a hot knife through butter.

Story is intresting and gets a little meta at times (the game is set in a virtual world but sometimes you get text logs from the "real" world) but you need to pay attention to the special terms they use or you'll get very quickly lost. Narrator isn't on the same level as Brightington from SP, but he's God tier and if I'm honest I'm not sure he would fit this game.

Art is pretty good, all the animations are pretty smooth and nice too look at and the environments are intresting.

Took me 4 hours to finish it and get all the achievements (with the help of a guide, also achievements contain spoilers btw) so it's not a long game. £7 off sale where I live, £5 when I got it. Would recommend getting on sale for no reason other than it being so short. Have not 100% (and am not going to) since I haven't leveled up everything at the shop.

All in all I recommend this game. Enjoyable and I'll probably look into seeing if there is a sequal of some sort.

Got all 4 endings, good mods, good strategy, yet to play bonus modes. Wish there was more to play but the game has around 25 hours of gameplay. Good return to the franchise roots, and while it didn't have the akward camera angles the originals had (thank goodness) the over the shoulder camera gave you a up close and personal feel with you and your character. Great story, great visuals. Ya'll know I'll be buying the RE3 remake when it comes out.

Fun and wacky

Fast pace, slow pace, emotion, drama. This game has it all. Worth every penny

Great game, felt really short actually (never mind the timed hours on my account, had to play this while the internet was down so it didn't store my hours). Good graphics, good story, good music. GG

From a technical standpoint, this game is nothing special: it ran on my sub-potato PC just fine. In fact, the game is capped at 30 FPS so don’t be expecting any butter smooth movement. However, this game is without a doubt one of the best games I have ever played. With funny, quirky and interesting characters and three main endings the game never fails to show you something (on your first playthrough, more on that later). Name more a more iconic duo than Sans and Papyrus, I’ll wait! The music is also one of the best things about this game, from 8-bit chiptune to rock this games OST never fails to amaze. Two years after the games release I’m still listening to the soundtrack.

This game is also a good tear jerker, there are some moments that with the storyline and the music just absolutely rip the heart out of you (maybe that’s just me, but I’d assume that’s a lot of people obsess over this game). It also has happy moments too. There are times where it gets a chuckle out of me and other times it makes me let out a frustrated “argh!” as I face an enemy for the fourth time.

That’s another thing too, you are almost guaranteed to die at least once in this game. So, in order to continue, you must have determination to reach the end! As I said, the game has three main endings: neutral, pacifist and genocide. You can do either neutral or genocide first, but to get pacifist you need to do a no kill neutral run. And I mean no kill. This game remembers, so choose wisely.

Now, I’ve said that this game has multiple endings but one of my main gripes with this game is that it has very little replayability. Yes, you can play it over and over to see how many neutral endings you can get but the meat of the game will always be the same. Once you figure out the puzzles you can essentially speed run them, once you figure out how to pacify an enemy you can just skip battles and once you’ve seen all the quirks they get kind of old.

The graphics are nice but a little bit all over the place. The main game is in colour, but the fight scenes are rather monochrome. Perhaps the stark contrast between the main world and the fight scenes is an artistic choice, the importance of which I could have failed to pick up on. Regardless, the graphics in this game aren’t exactly going to blow you away but like the rest of the game does an excellent job given the constraints it has been given

But yeah, that’s my thoughts on the game. Hyped for Deltarune and what it is gonna be like, but it seems the dev isn’t going to make an “Undertale 2” which is sad. However, as the saying goes: “You either die a hero, or see yourself live long enough to become a villain”. I think Undertale as we know it is dead, but that doesn’t mean we should forget it! I thoroughly recommend this game to anyone who hasn’t played it yet. As to whether you should buy it on sale or not is up to you. I bought it on sale, but that’s only because I’m a student and can’t splash out all the time. If you do get it on sale though, I recommend buying the game and the DLC (which is just the soundtrack) as a bundle. I bought them both for £5.
