After investing over 300 hours into Eden Eternal, I feel compelled to share my thoughts: it’s a disappointing experience that leans heavily on money-grabbing tactics. The game seems designed to pressure players into spending real money on items that quickly become obsolete, detracting from the overall enjoyment.

The in-game content suffers from poor translation, making it difficult to fully engage with the story and events. Additionally, in-game events follow a rigid schedule based on server time, which severely limits access for non-American players. The PvP is also poorly balanced, leaving me puzzled about how anyone can genuinely enjoy it.

One major issue is the low population on servers, making it difficult to find a vibrant community.

The game’s stability on Linux is lacking, with no official support provided for users on that platform. (Very frequent crashes due to a poor DX9 over DX11 translation).

Frequent updates often introduce new bugs while old ones linger, some dating back over a decade. The translation errors are particularly glaring; it feels like there’s no proper oversight, and many responses come off as awkward and poorly translated. This issue is present on community events, patch notes, maintenance warnings and ingame content. Have a look at their public website and have a look for yourself at the patch notes if you believe this isn't true.

In hindsight, I wish I could have convinced myself to skip this game altogether. Nostalgia is best left in the past when it comes to Eden Eternal, and I’ve spent more time trying to make the game work than the developers have likely put into improving it. Save your time and money—there are better games out there.

I did a slapshot across the map and hit another player in the face. The puck rebounded in his goal. My teammate blasted my ears yelling SLAPSHOT REBOUND and humming the theme song. This is the ultimate gamer fantasy.

This game is, in my humble opinion, fantastic.

Your friends will need controllers in order to play this with you. The multiplayer aspect works through the Steam Play/Share where you are streaming this to your friends. They do not have to purchase the game. This requires a good upload speed. In a way, you are responsible for hosting the game, which can be both a pro and con. This implies that you are not dependent on a third party company to keep an obscure Garfield game server up in order to be able to play with your friends.

You get the best party game mini-games in a Garfield theme, and for those who have played Garfield Kart: Furious Racing, this game definitely has a high budget set to the music. Play this game with the sound on.

I have played this for a good hour with friends and look forward to playing another.

This is a game in which you unfold a love story from the end to the beginning and get to change events that created it in order to make it even better. It is short, unique and easy to appreciate.

I launched the game after roughly 1 year not playing and surprise surprise sneaky Epic Online Services got installed on my computer.

This game is fun solo and with friends and will garantee that you will start a fight with your friends, whether you get them to play or not. There are 16 circuits and every single one of them has a very good track to keep you concentrated. I know this will seem silly but the music is really good. The playstyle is a bit glitchy, but it's part of the fun to share with your friends :-)

In this game, anybody can betray you, except your horse.

The singleplayer is a mix of army AND civilisation management, conquer (capture castles and cities using ladders & siege towers), battle royale (arena and tournaments) and economy simulator (you need to pay your soldiers!!) that also includes a diplomacy relationship system through multiple factions (I hate you whoever pillaged my village!!).

It is old, yes.
It is not perfect.
It is more than enjoyable and will last many hours.

Please give it a chance by looking at your starter horse in the eyes to be charmed into a wonderful adventure.
Also listen to the music it is amazing.

p.s. you cannot pet the horses, only mount them into battle and trade them.
