Okay I have been playing this game almost daily, and some of the complaints are valid, others are just mad people being mad.

First off, this game is definitely lacking as far as initial base game content. I want to believe their thought process would be that since you can play portal, and theoretically play all battlefields on this game, there is a lot of content. But really the base multiplayer game is super lacking in unlockable weapons. There is only four Assault Rifles... Even Battlefield One had more weapons on initial release. To try and compensate for this, all weapons are unlocked by reaching a level milestone, much like old COD4. This is so gaining levels feels like youre achieving something, when in reality there is not much to achieve.

Operators... Oh my god I hate operators... Why did EA think this was okay? Probably because everyone else is doing it... I.E. Call of Duty. But why... Why try and give personality to these characters with nothing to base it off of. There's no story... Atleast MW had a story so the operators had something that could be mistaken for as a personality. But in a game that is supposed to show such large scale warfare, boasting battles as large as 64 v 64, why fill it with the same ~8 people??? I loved the immersion of battlefield. The dice engine has incredible graphics and sounds. But no I have to watch my same exact "unique" operator rush into battle along with my same operator, then get sniped by my same operator... Just let me customize my armor... Id even prefer every soldier wore a mask like Bad Company.

Now, as for the whole Battlefield 20-42 frames... I literally don't know what people are complaining about. I disabled DLSS and Ray Tracing. I now run at ~80-90 frames in firefights. I have a RTX 2070. Everything else I run entirely on the highest settings.

All this said, I have so much fun playing this game. I feel like most Battlefield games have had rough launches, which would ultimately be fixed over time. I am not going to say this game was properly finished, and I do not agree with games being launched broken and released unfinished, but I don't see that changing any time soon unfortunately. We all know EA isn't going to really consider giving up making money sooner than later. I want to be the type to boycott this company because I disagree with the way they are going, but I would be lying to myself if I said I don't see myself logging in another 30 hours happily. I think what we have here as of now shows a lot of promise gameplay wise.

HOWEVER I DO WANT EA TO CHANGE SO MUCH ABOUT THE DIRECTION THEY ARE GOING IN...
GET RID OF THE OPERATORS
LOWER THE PRICE IF YOU'RE GOING TO CHARGE FOR THE REST OF THE GAME

As of right now, I just installed the 0.0.2.3 version and have not played it yet.

Four hours in, can I recommend the game? Yeah. It has a low price, and it is filled to the brim with potential in my eyes.
I can see the workshop being used a lot for this game, and if given enough freedom and creativity, I can see some really awesome things coming from this game.

However right now, all the jokes you see about having low frames is true. Game lags hard. Especially when you're doing what you'd want to do in this game; make battle scenarios and play. It honestly is pretty bad. But this game is still very early in its development, so I can imagine a performance patch will be in the works.

All in all, game is fun. The blood and gore system is nice. Reminds me of Overgrowth blood, which is an incredible blood system. Impact wounds do a layered impact on the target. However right now it is a little buggy and often times is just a see through hole to the other side. Also there is not much for impact effect either. Which honestly is more realistic I suppose, but a little one would be nice.

TL;DR: Yes.

So first off, everyone talks about the price. Yes it is a slight bit expensive. The game is currently three survival levels and a sandbox zone. It is arguably a tech demo for the time being. But I urge you to actually pick this one up and support the developer. This does have a chance at becoming something great, it just needs some time to develop more.

To this date there is only three levels and a sandbox area that shows off its gore system. If you're a sadistic person like myself, the sandbox area can be fun. The death animations are starting off great. Aside from bodies rolling on the floor is weird ways at times, this definitly seems like the most realistic death animations I have seen in a VR game. The blood is excellent as well. The blood impact actually looks like a 3D impact and not some sprite that comes and goes. Blood textures appear where it lands. Bodies and blood are set on a timer and can be altered.

Weapons are basic at the time; a handgun, assault rifle, and shotgun. The handgun and shotgun are my favorites personally. Reloading right now is a little difficult only because the hitboxes are very specific. It can be hard to reload without looking down at your hip for the magazine and hard to put the magazine or shell in on the first try. Maybe that's just me but it has for sure killed me at some times missing my handgun mag.

There is a story mode in the works, which has my interest. This game has its scare factor in its dark areas and uncanny enemies faces. Although right now its more of just mini jumpscares just seeing someone walking up behind you. But as I said, it is just a survival mode right now. Story mode will hopefully add real horror elements past cheap jumpscares if made into an actual horror game.

It is also mentioned shootouts will be added. With that being said I hope the weapon ballistics are upgraded and more detail is added to them overall. Right now the gore is what is being focused on, which is fine. But gore will look and feel so much better if the guns feel better too. Not to mention bullet impacts on walls need to be worked on as well.

Is this product expensive right now, yes. But I am hoping that after a few big updates, the game will be worth this price tag. I do recommend this game for what it can become, and I am confident with time it will give back.

I love this game! I know it says on record I only have 7 Hours but Ive been playing this game a lot more than just that.

I am a fan of RTS type games and this one is probably the most simple to pick up and play.
My only complaint I have is that this game needs mods. I dont know if maybe I just dont know where to look
or not but new maps and new weapons would be awesome! Even without mods this game is great! Its worth it!!!

So far I have played this game for roughly seven hours and I can say this game is pretty fun. The randomly generated dungeons keep things going (on my first playthrough I didn't find the sword until the second level). You can upgrade your character each level or you can try completing it without any upgrades at all! Same follows with killing; it is possible to go the entire game without directly killing any enemies.

If there is one this I would like to see in this game is more diverse upgrades. Currently it is sort of a random upgrade you get after paying an x amount of coins to the "gods". I would like to see a skill tree maybe, and it doesn't have to include new skills. The same skills, but the player picks which skills he/she would like.

I would also think it would be cool to purchase weapons with different stats. I understand this game was made to be a simple dungeon crawler survival kind of game but it would be cool to see all these to be put into play.

All in all I have put seven hours into this game and plan on putting another seven in to complete it, which I still have yet to do so. I totally recommend this game (especially when it is on sale!)

The game is still only in Early Access (and normally I do not buy unfinished games) but this game is really something else. There are an infinite amount of machines you can build, ranging from Flying machine bombers to stationary contraptions. I can assume that there will be level editing and sharing of machines in the near future that I look forward to.

10/10
