pure zombie fun

I have played difficult games before such as underrail, outward, quasimorph, etc. and found them challenging but at the same time exciting. The combat in stoneshard is fun, but I will say that the save mechanic is frustating. I know you can buy tent for save, but after a few times of travelling far just to die at the entrace of dungeon or in the middle of it because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason or getting one hit, I felt frustated enough to not continue the game.

At the very least if we're comparing to outward where it has the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amount of travelling on foot and no save system, you can choose and acknowledge when the enemy is far too greater than your own capability and went off anywhere else to do something else and get a better gear, consumables & equipment to deal with the hard enemy. I felt that the after the starting quest in stoneshard, the difficulty spikes just becomes frustatingly annoying. I wanted to like this game, but I truly do hate the traveling system in this games and hope the dev carriage update can fix it.

I bought this game back around 2014 or 2015 something, it was a fresh experience playing a zombie game with this unique style back then. But, there was not much to do, even with friends, so after a while I got bored and stopped playing.

With the release of update 41, I am blown away as how many new and improvements the game brings to the table. It is amazing, I didn't follow the update of Project Zomboid, so when I saw and checked it, I'm completly hooked. Honestly this game deserve so much support, though it might be difficulty, I think everyone can get the hang of it, if not you could try to tweak the setting (it is a sandbox game afterall).
