I haven't played terribly much but the game is fun, very visually appealing, and just a good little experience so far.

Black Desert is something else in the MMO market. While I cannot argue for flawlessness or anything exceptionally striking in the game, beyond a considerable character customization option, it definitely sticks its foot forward in regards to combat. While I have lent time to Vindictus, the combat there feels slow and unremarkable. Black Desert is faster paced and feels a slight more streamlined. The quests themselves are fairly stereotypical, the grind is exceptionally long, and upgrades take some time. If you're looking for a time sink, or even a game to play in sporadic bursts, BDO can be an excellent option.

This game has some potential, if not because of the story but certainly because of the combat. Now, being something of an occasional idiot, I chose Hard difficulty and forced myself to learn as quickly as possible and despite dropping dead more than I'm willing to admit, I had entirely too much fun with the combat. It's more intuitive than I find, without an excessive amount of ridiculous combos that you have to spam half the keyboard or controller for.

The story seems particularly interesting, despite th fact I was distracted by the overly massive character portraits. If that's an option to change, do it before you even fight your second set of enemies because they blank out any cutscenes. And the subtitles need their own box, and while the translation is slightly off, it makes sense better than most translated things I come across that haven't been made by a substantial team.

My only problems with combat stands with Executions, they need some sort of temporary immunity frames shortly after, lest you get ganked when the enemies swam you during the animation sequence. Still, despite that, I recommend this game to several people I know. I'm definitely looking forward to further updates as the game gets more polished. May your coffee be ever delicious and your cookies sweet, wee devvie boiz and girls.

Sit down, ladies and gentlemen, because today you're getting the wonderful pleasure of a game I find devilishly entertaining when I feel the urge. Desync is extremely unique, it feels, and also a game I've played 3 times in different conditions. Is it fun sober? Yeah, for the most part. But if you REALLY want a kick, do what I did. Vodka. Straight. No chaser. Let it hit your system and challenge this game. Never in my life have I felt so stressed and so excited. I challenged a boss in my severely inebriated state (enough vodka to kill any weak-willed noncomrades and then some) and after several tries beat it. The euphoria and elation was like nothing I've felt. The boss was a challenge sober, but being drunk made it more difficult and it felt more rewarding to beat.

TLDR; Try this blackout drunk. You won't regret it.

My own opinion is that this game is next level pain. I can fully get behind a grind, my considerable time in BDO points this out, but the sheer amount of grinding this game requires is nearly warrants an anuerysm. You have to sit, for no presumable reason except to boost playtime/returnees, for days just for one item to finish being crafted. I can understand waiting a few minutes, or maybe requiring you to complete a mission, but this reminds of that mobile Wizarding World game or generally most clicker mobile games. If you enjoy this mechanic, all power to you, but I can't reasonably invest my own time. Outside of that, it's alright so I might touch it once in a blue moon.

Kurtzpel is by far a better version of the boss mission games I've played. Most of them have an excessive amount of time you spend in mission or to kill a boss but it's fresh that it's less so and gets progressively more difficult. The drops rates, while low for accessories, are sensible and earning in game currency doesn't feel like a chore. The animations are nice and there are few minor details that have actually been touched on. (I've sat waiting for a mission and watched my character "breathe"!)

Honestly a really fun game for the most part. Some of the Karmas need some work for PvP balance right now but hopefully they can give it those fine touches they so need.
