Didnt think I'd have so much fun with this game. Very good and engaging gameplay and storyline. Great reboot, Crystal Dynamics did an amazing job. 7.5/10

The puzzles are engaging and rewarding. The story execution is quite frankly pretentious.
I'll recommend it if you really enjoy puzzle games; the story isn't that deep. Yeah....I'm not doing the stars.

The Whispered World is a nice little story, it's not the best the genre has to offer and certainly not the worst; it exists in a happy medium.

Story - The story follows Sadwick a circus jester who gets burdened with the task of saving the world from certain doom. Cliche? Yes. And while it maintains that cliche through a majority of the game, towards the end it starts delivering some unexpected emotional moments, a very nice but welcome surprise. Where the games story really shines is the humor, most of the characters, Sadwick in particular, have a dry sarcasm to them that is definitely my speed, it comes off as whiny at first, but as you progress it's what carries the game.

Sound - Very nice soundtrack, no complaints from me. The voice acting is a bit rough but as time goes on it definitely grows on you. Some characters are definite hit (Sadwick) or misses (the Whispering Stone).

Gameplay - Standard point and click fare, it doesn't reinvent the wheel. I will say the screen can get a bit cluttered in your inventory and during some screens with many points of interaction. The puzzles are not very hard save for 1 or 2 (Chess) and a few item combinations to progress are downright logic defying.

Graphics - The art style is serviceable and definitely shows it's age especially when it comes to the cutscenes. The backgrounds and environments on the other hand are beautiful and definitely hold up.

Rating 6/10 - Definitely recommended for people who enjoy Point & Click games.

Probably the best Traditional JRPG of the decade. Nothing fancy just solid story and gameplay done perfectly.
