The gaming industry is in a total win-win situation and it's at our expense. We have virtually no rights when it comes to digital purchases, and even that's not enough. Why? Because they can be as greedy as they want, and the worst case scenario is that they ruin Steam- which is great for them. People will end up buying their game again on whatever platform takes over, which might even be their own competing platform (Uplay, origin, gog).

People don't know it, but they've been lobbying for these giant corporations with all the animosity towards G2A. For whatever reason, game developers are treated like these poor little guys who do this out of the kindness of their hearts. The reality is, this is a giant industry and the vast majority of the money that is made goes into the bank accounts of a handful of giant companies. Fraud is a cost of doing business and there's no reason to think that it's any worse here than it is anywhere else, or if there can be any progress without the cooperation of the banks (the people who have no answer to the fraud and issue the charge backs).
If I buy an Xbox, I can beat a game and give it to my friend. On steam, I can't even buy a game, leave it "sealed," and give it to a friend. It's really time we stand up to these guys and demand some damn rights.

I knew from the beginning not to trust any game that sells in-game currency for real money. Eventually they will come to see the consumer as their own competitor. Anything you can get for free is something they can't sell you.
