SA2B was my childhood. Spending hours every single day for months on my Gamecube. I loved the game so much and thought it was the best thing ever. And if the normal stages were starting to bore me I'd spend time with my Chao in the Chao gardens.

Now I'm older and I can see just how.. uhh.. mediocre the game actually is. If this is what people consider to be the 'best' Sonic game then wow.
And this port isn't helping either as it's quite broken for me. I cannot finish some of the stages because of bugs. Gameplay also feels a little bit off for some reason.

The best stages are the Sonic&Shadow stages.
Tails&Eggman are also enjoyable as you get to destroy stuff and the Rouge&Knuckles stages... well.. we won't talk about those. They're frustrating, especially the space stages if you don't know what you're doing. The knuckle stage took me 80 minutes on my GC. No joke.

With all of that being said, there's plenty of challenges! Even post-story line. From collecting 100 rings to finding the missing Chao. Or maybe even try to collect all of the emblems? How about kart racing? Or redoing all of the boss fights?

If you're going to play this for the story I'd suggest watching the Sonic X anime series as they added the Sonic adventure 1 & 2 into the series. :) I especially recommend the Japanese version.

All in all it's okay. Chao simulator is indeed fun at times. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it because you should definitely try the game if you've never played SA2!

tl;dr game is fun but has a LOT of game breaking bugs.

Bullethell games aren't my kind of games, but surprisingly I had tons of fun playing this one.

I enjoyed Mr bones wild ride and I never want to get off. 10/10
