Great RTS For Beginners - Fun RTS For Seasoned Players

Broken Arrow is a pretty good and fun modern military RTS. It has a lot of the bells and whistles that players that already enjoy the genre often ask for, mostly modern units ranging from interesting configurations of smalls arms for infantry to stealth fighter jets, bombers and long range HIMARS and a nuke.

Players can build their decks up to 10000 points, varying their equipment to a pretty flexible methodology, customizing equipment (the player can choose the unit, predetermined choices of equipment, camouflage of a vehicle, which vehicle will transport it, etc), even going over the limit of points of each category, which many other games do not offer (as long as the total deck limit remains within 10k points), allowing for players to stretch the limits of their selected units towards a more specialized role.

There are a few weird limitations such as if you put a .50cal M2 MG in a Humvee, you ar enow stuck to it, and can't choose multiple versions of that same Humvee within the same category of the same deck (ie. Recon, Infantry, VEH).

The gameplay is slightly faster paced than other games such as Warno, in my opinion - this is not a rule, but from personal experience, many players choose to use the cool new equipment in multiplayer matches, and that normally ends up being fixed and rotary wing aircraft, pushing players to deploy (and or lose) troops faster.

While everyone naturally compares titles within a genre, I like to think that Wargame Red Dragon, Warno and Broken Arrow (not to mention other titles) are all very similar in a few points but very different in a lot more points. Each of them does things differently and well enough in which makes checking each of them, and purchasing them, a worth effort for those that love the genre. To those that are new strategy games, I recommend diving deeper into review and mostly gameplay videos before deciding which game to purchase and experience first, as one game might interest a new player more than the other (and I like to think that taste is the biggest factor here).

With that being said, I do believe that Broken Arrow tends to be friendly to new, unbiased players, but I do recommend that the singleplayer and skirmish modes are explored first as Tutorials aren't the strongest point of this game.

Speaking of the campaign, while a lot shorter than I hopped and different than expected (my Bias towards the Eugen titles made me hope for a campaign similar to Army General in Warno or even more the Wargame Red Dragon campaign), the plot, dialogues, and situations that the player is put under are very interesting, and gave me the impression of a "Call of Duty" (in its golden days) style of story, while playing a RTS game, which is a very interesting and enjoyable approach.

The lack of a current co-op option for the campaign is a HUGE downside to the current build, and should be taken into consideration while comparing the game with other titles, even though the company does give players the ability to create, share and download mods, which may allow for a full co-op campaign to be available for download eventually.

Price-wise, this is not a cheap title. It is true that it has been released at a "full" state vs a Pre-Release/Alpha/Beta state, but another point of consideration to players that need to be more selective with their gaming investments. This doesn't change my mind that while a lot of money for many, the price itself isn't necessarily unfair, and the game has been giving me enough "playability" and fun moments, in the sense of cost-benefit.

The development team has been very communicative with the community since a lot before release, and continues to show interest and concern for issues and feedback, giving me a sense of hope that the game will be worked on for a while, in all aspects, besides your usual DLC-for-money sense. This brings up the fact that we will see DLCs of different units, maps and scenarios eventually, although a roadmap is still MIA for that portion of the project.

The game is still experiencing quite a few connection issues, bugs and even hackers, which some days may be very annoying, while on other days aren't as present. This is definitely concerning, but married to the feedback that devs are focusing on these issues and working hard to fix these ongoing and chronic (since Alpha version) problems, I still have hope that improvements will be made at every update.

Overall it is a recommended experience, in which, for the wish for spoiling less of the positives, I recommend new and experienced player to try it out for themselves, and have some fun with a new, shiny title to an old genre with big and already solidified titles.

Early Access Review
Ready or Not is a great homage to tactical shooters such as Swat 3 and 4.

It brings a modern yet classic game play to a deficient area within FPS games, a tactical and methodical shooter in which players actions dictate how gunfights will play more than ever - assisted or complicated by a great AI.

Of course, the game is still a work in progress, but seeing this game evolve with every update makes me feel great about its future.

I really recommend it to players that like this genre as well as gamers that have never played a game as demanding of players skills, communication and patience (within tactical shooters).

A Must-Try for any strategy/WW2 fan

Excelent strategy option for those that are fans of WW2, incredibly fun and challeging when played with friends, requiring organization and a lot of thinking from all to find and pplay the best tactics. Campaign missions may take hours on harder levels, which will require effort and patient, but if accomplished, it will have been fun and even rewarding.

Superior than other WW2 startegy games in my opinion
. Missions are well built and fun, DLC brings more missions for an affordable price.

Multiplayer can also be fun if played with friends and players willing to put some effort in it. It may be very repetitive though, shifting the player towards the campaign missions as well as mods (Another extra for the game, mods normally work well, and there is a fairly large number of them on Steam).

Loading screens may take a little too long, and the habilty of joining a match after it was already started, it's not present, which is a big negative point. If your connection drops and you want to join your friends again, you will have to re-start the match.

Still a great game though, definitely worthy.

Ótimo simulador MMO, consegue ser tanto arcade e ótimo para passar tempo, quantorealista o suficiente para jogar algo que requere mais "esforco mental" e tempo (dependendo do modo de jogo), além de ser grátis, recomendo!
