The longer I played, the more frustrated I became towards this game's idea of roleplay. Despite my playtime I can't recommend this game as - Once my headcanon faltered - I had no ability to continue playing due to the sheer lack of commitment to player-choice/consequence. The sheer static nature of the quest design/choices/writing as a WHOLE was (to me) laughably bland and once I realised "that feeling" was just never gonna arrive I tapped out.

Incredible what they have achieved over the years. The quests give ample room to kind of make your own lil space farer (at least for someone like me who craves immersion) and overall just a whole host of new stuff. Know what you're getting into, but don't dismiss it if you are at least curious now!

KEEPING FOR POSTERITY (POSTED ON LAUNCH).
After 24 hours I believe I can now make this review.

At first, No Man's Sky is wonderful. It has beautiful worlds, an amazing soundtrack, and weird wildlife. All for you to explore as you please in an infinite universe. There are slight survival elements too, with planets giving you conditions to deal with such as heat, cold, radiation etc.

But that is really all there is.

I enjoyed my time with the game, but it is such a shame that no matter what crazy planet you find yourself in, in some undiscovered system, you are ALWAYS doing the same thing. Whether it be getting slots for your ship/exo-suit/multi-tool or constantly having to refuel your "launch thrusters".

Yes, there are 4 main alien 'factions'. And yes, you can discover their language. But for each of them it is literally the same way in doing so. You find a monolith, or ask one of them and you get a new word. It just gets boring.

I did, kind of, enjoy my time with No Man's Sky but it is so repetitive now that I don't even want to travel to the centre as it will just be doing the same thing again for another 30 or so hours. And that is just something I don't want to do.

So, overall, No Man's Sky is great for chill exploration with an amazing soundtrack and a literal universe to explore. But don't expect much else. And although, for the hours I played before getting bored, I loved it I simply can't recommend it for $60.

Antenna is a short, yet highly intriging sound based puzzle game. It's short tale tells that of a machine wandering around what appears to be a world abandoned in an attempt to find something. And it is done very well. The puzzles involve matching sounds or noises, and when you hear the one that matches yours the feeling of wanting to grab on to it and find it is surprisngly thought provoking. And actually makes you feel lonely. It is free, so there is no reason to not try it. Highly recommend it!

Really just a collection of mods they are making you pay for with no credit to the makers at all, which is infuriating to me.

Life is Strange is a beautiful, wonderfully crafted masterpiece. The love and attention that must have been poured into it is atonashing, and shows. The story it makes you experience is second to none, with wonderful characters and a whole range of emotion; from happy to sad, to worse than sad.

Every single "episode" is a masterpiece in of itself with an amazing art style, wonderful music, and characters you actually care for bringing it's world to life. I honestly don't want to say more at fear of spoiling, and missing out more amazing things to say.

All I can say is: get Life is Strange. Experience the outstanding emotion this game creates.

Easily a 10/10 and the best game I have ever played.

Setting my review to negative as a result of Bethesda's paid mods.

Fallout 4 takes a pretty big step in different direction when compared to the previous two Fallout games. It is in many ways more linear, especially when compared to New Vegas. Bethesda is more than likely taking a different approach to what they think Fallout should be. Which is less on the RPG elements, but more on exploration of a post post-nuclear world and all the stories it can tell, and does. In my eyes, that is ok, I was quite disappointed at first but came to realise that they simply want a change of plans, and if you can look past that you will enjoy Fallout 4. Maybe it was rushed which explains the lack of RPG elements, or maybe not, but regardless it was the game we were given.

The gameplay is a definite improvment over 3 and New Vegas. It feels responsive, less clunky and, well, more like an actual up-to-date shooter. The classic Fallout gore is still there too!

The graphics are tricky. To me, they look great. I love the style and lighting. But to many, they are still behind. It all depends on preference. But who really played Fallout for graphics before anyway? One thing is for certain however, the graphics are another definite improvement over past titles.

I won't spoil the story, but it is good and what you really expect from Bethesda's take on Fallout. It could be better, but it isn't forgettable, and has characters you will remember. The four factions were very well done too, I actually found myself struggling with who to side with. They all have likes and dislikes.

Companions were also very well done. Ranging from a quirky news reporter (to dumb it down) and a witty, noir-style, detective follower. They have a system where each has likes and dislikes depending on how they think in comparison to what you do. For example, one companion may dislike or even hate stealing, killing without reason, whilst others like or even love it and vice versa. It all very much depends on the character.

Exploration is top-notch. You can really feel the past thorugh terminal stories and enviromental details.

All in all, I would recommend Fallout 4. But be warned, this is not a full blown RPG. If you can get with the limited choice, then you will have no problem.

A quirky, engaging, and all round fun wee game. It has smart humour, a good soundtrack, and really, really fun gameplay. There is a small amount of choice that does make you want to see other outcomes too.

An extremely great game, even though I played it on the PS3.

Keep in mind, it flat out doesn't work on Windows 10, at least for me.
