I don't normally write reviews but Larian took their time to create this masterpiece so the least I could do is take the time to write about this incredible game. If you are on the fence about buying this game get off that fence and sink MANY more hours than you'd like to admit into it. Balder's Gate 3 is the gold standard of its genre and a game which I hope will lead to the development of many more games in its genre which in my opinion does not get enough love in the industry.

Baldur's Gate 3 demonstrates how early access when utilized correctly can make an incredible game. Larian should be truly proud of what they have created with their thoughtful implementation of community suggestions and feedback during early access. In a time when games come and go with little impact, Larian has made a game which will become a standard when referencing what makes a top tier entry in the CRPG genre. There is a reason why game developers are complaining that it creates an unrealistic standard, it shows that rushing a game will make your stockholders happy but produce a subpar product. It also demonstrates that being intentional, taking the time necessary, and listening to your players will be rewarded in massive sales, praise, and play hours.

In my opinion, Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the greatest games of all time and regardless of which game the industry gives the award to, IT IS the game of the year. Masterfully thought out design as well as mechanics. Your character background can have a profound impact on the outcome of as well as options in conversations and the decisions you make feel meaningful in big as well as nuanced ways. Every skill, mechanic, and how it can interact with the environment as well as in combat encourages creativity where a seemingly impossible battle can be overcome by utilizing the environment.

Baldur's Gate 3 removes one of my biggest pet peeves common in the genre, being punished for building a class that doesn't work out by allowing you to relatively easily and cheaply change your class. I have tested all the classes to some extent and have experimented a little with dual classing. Typically I do not enjoy a number of classes in games, in Baldur's Gate 3 I found all of them to be enjoyable.

Seriously buy this game, even at full price the amount of hours you will put into it makes it well worth it. I recommend avoiding videos with spoilers, you have to experience this world for yourself.

P.S.: The bard class is hilarious and you are missing out if you don't play as one for at least one playthrough.

While it has some current issues with balancing and occasional disconnects due to people leaving games it is a very fun game.

Spiritual successor to SWAT 4 if you liked that you'll like this.

Really enjoying these tables. It's good to finally have some non-DMD tables.

My favorite pack so far all three tables are a blast to play. No Good Gofers has a really fun unique hole in one shot that tests your skill (or luck).
