Excellent game. Beautiful art, atmosphere, and music. Exploration gives off similar vibes as Tunic (although this doesn't take it quite as far as Tunic does). Combat is satisfying, dodge timing is forgiving, and run-back on boss fights is very minimal (only a couple of fights have more than a couple of seconds of run-back). I'm not usually one to 100% a game, but I did this one, with a little bit of help on some of the secrets - almost all of the secrets are very discoverable without any sort of hints, and are very satisfying to figure out. With a little more patience I could have 100%ed without hints, but didn't feel like doing all the backtracking that would have been necessary. I enjoyed this game a lot!

Grey **** fight was a total delight - the art style and motion on that fight was very enjoyable - to the point I wish the story had made that the final fight of the game. The actual final fight was decent, but not memorable. But I was happy the game didn't do the massive ramp up in difficulty for the final fight that so many games want to do.

This is a great little city builder that captures most of what I love about Oxygen Not Included or Cities Skylines - but the 30 minute time window means it has a defined amount of playtime - I'm not getting myself into an indeterminate play-session that could last days - I know it'll be exactly 30 minutes every time.

Despite the time pressure, the sounds and music are very chill - and I find this relaxing to play. Great game!

(I've played about 50% of the game).

Incredibly satisfying. Co-op done right. Drop-in, drop-out, auto-scaling to match the group size, loot sharing (everything except for ammo and vendor materials inventory), good teamwork mechanics (pinging, group healing/ressurecting, complementary builds). Exploring this world with a friend feels like what I wanted Fallout 76 to be (from an exploration perspective - the story and writing isn't anything like the Fallout universe).

The world isn't AAA-level detailed, and definitely has the procedural smell at times (you'll come to recognize set pieces as repeating even on your first play-through), but it's very satisfying to explore, and loot your way through. You will see the same things over and over, but in different places, and so you're exploring a new world "maze" with a lot of familiar landmarks. The worlds are also very varied - from post-apocalyptic city, to desert landscapes, to jungles, to... futuristic sci-fi feeling spaces.

Looting is largely for upgrade materials and currency, and largely obtained through grinding through enemies, exploring, and breaking objects. Even though you're literally mostly hunting for pieces of metal and scrap, there's something very satisfying about the exploration process, and breaking objects feels very satisfying. And because items never re-spawn (unless you reroll/reset the entire world), you know when you've finished with an area by the lack of lootables. This helps a lot with making for a satisfying experience, because you feel like you've accomplished something - unlike Destiny or Division, where you feel like nothing ever changes no matter what you do.

I'm enjoying this solo through the adventure mode (so I don't impact the co-op campaign I'm going through) and getting small pieces of the campaign in bite-sized randomized chunks. I'm really enjoying it co-op with another person (although it supports up to 3?) and exploring the same world together.

Voice chat is kinda crap, and there is no text-chat, so use other software to communicate.

The game is hard if you're not good at timing / reflex gameplay, but once you are it becomes a lot more manageable. Dodging for invincibility is essential. This can be a steep learning curve if you're not used to it, but there is a pretty good training curve as you go through the game. The first boss, however, can be a very tough early boss (Gorefist) and even worse, a tough version of him (regenerating? more HP?) can make for a very frustrating experience. I'd recommend re-rolling if you struggle too much, or grinding until you level up enough to beat him. After that boss, every other boss I've encountered has been substantially more manageable - either I've gotten more good, or the bosses got easier. From what I've read, I'm not alone in this, though.

This game surprised me. It's what I was subconsciously wanting from co-op games like Borderlands, Division, Destiny, Fallout 76, etc - an incredibly fun world to explore with challenge and progression that feels like it's skill-based rather than equipment-based. Very satisfiyng and fun to play.

This certainly isn't the game for Everyone. I'm pretty sure more people will hate it (or get bored quickly) than like it, but that's ok. Those people have their games, and Everything really worked for me.

It's a surreal sort of game with amazing depth. The amount of different types of things the game has modeled and accounted for is staggering - I've spent much of my game time thinking, "Wow, that's in here, too? (It really does have Everything)".

There isn't much to *do* in the game, and that's going to rub people the wrong way. This isn't a game about gameplay, it's more about exploration (and even that runs out after a while) and peaceful contemplation. The lectures by Alan Watts constantly pulled me forward in the game - little snippets of reward for pushing far enough and exploring enough. This is a great midnight game when the lights are out and the house is asleep and you just want to peacefully drift through and think about things.

Beautiful graphics and an adorable character (I grin every time I put a new hat on the little guy). Great way to spend a few minutes... or an hour... killing some well deserving robots. Especially the spiders - die die die. Just the right amount of challenge and quick fun. Well worth picking up.
