No Man's Sky is proof that a game can in fact become great if the team behind it does it's best to fulfill all the promises they made about it despite the state the game was released in. Sure it took Hello Games five years, but with the state the game is in today I dare say that this is one of the best space sims out there at the moment. In fact I really hope that CD Project Red will take No Man's Sky as an example and make Cyberpunk 2077 as great as they promised it to be, even if it takes years.

The only drawback that I can think of is that while having an infinite universe to discover sounds really great, however due to procedural generation of content it can become quite repetitive in both appearance and gameplay. I mean charting and discovering new planets is really interesting and goes well with the survival and crafting mechanics of the game, but after while I'd like to see some more lived in planets as well, like city planets with massive buildings or planets of long lost civilizations with large abandoned buildings, so yeah I can still see ways the game could improve, but luckily the game still continues to evolve, so there's still hope that I'll have my large city planets one day.

Overall if you're looking for a good space exploration game or something that can keep you busy for a long while, than I can recommend this one. Having to explore an infinite universe with multiple questlines all the while crafting new items to facilitate your survival is in fact an interesting journey in my opinion.

There's something very special about diving down to some of the most hostile looking bug infested planets and then get mangled, get slowed down with some weird substance only to get a better taste of those serrated claws and then get crushed by the heavier charging bugs but by some miracle still manage to complete the mission only so that right before extraction your teammate with the airburst rocket launcher decides to show you how much fire they're packing and decide to shoot a little bug with it right in your faces killing the entire squad in one fell swoop. And when you gloriously fail extraction and return to the super destroyer that same diver asks you to pull their finger to show everyone on the ship just how much GAS they're packing is without a doubt the cherry on top in the overall Helldivers 2 experience.

10/10 best game and best team ever. Would die with them again.
