The main character has all of the animation of a blow-up doll, and none of the personality.

The deck-building is mediocre.

There are good games out there in this genre (Sakura Dungeon comes to mind); this isn't one of those.

Summary: Unless you want to see a virtual blow-up doll get humped by even less life-like virtual guys, this is a hard pass. No pun intended.

One of the best games of the last decade, if you're into the genre. If you have to ask, it may not be right for you.
For new players, well, it has a more intuitive quest system than previous games, e.g. a dotted line on your mini-map guides you to your next destination.
There are also a host of tutorials.
For veteran gamers, well, if you don't own this already then this review is a waste of time, as you're obviously severely lacking mentally. But in this one case, not your Mom. SHE probably owns this game. I'm betting she beats you every night...at Gwent.

Classic Bioshock, but with dual-wield. Think HALO 2.

Dude, it's Bioshock. Asking "Why did you like this game" is akin to asking why people enjoyed Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Zelda, Myst, Doom, Halo, or any other classic game. They are (were) the ground-breakers.

I look forward to the next new "innovative" title as much as the next gamer, but if this isn't in your collection, well, it's as if I'm talking to someone who's never seen "Star Wars". I just don't understand how to have that conversation and consider you an actual gamer.

Even if you hated it, you've played it. Right?

The devs at Tasharen have spent years pouring over this game. I've barely scratched the surface (pun intended), but if it's anything like Windward, it'll be an instant classic (a la Minecraft.)

One of the greatest games I've ever played.

Play alone, play with friends, play on a server, whatever you wish.

Want to relax? Play some trading missions of fight some easy pirates. Want to blow sh!t up? Go right ahead. Want to fight a dragon? Gotcha covered there as well, but you'll probably want to bring some friends along.

There's even a dedicated Discord server where you can chat with the Mods and Devs.

It's worth it a t full price, but if you catch it on a Steam sale, *DO NOT PASS IT UP!*
