A must play for any turn-based JRPG fans out there. Clearly inspired by the older Final Fantasy games but with its own spin as evident with the dodge and parry system. If you're a more traditional JRPG player like myself and prefer turn-based over the real-time combat system that FF has adopted recently, I would say this is definitely a game you should pick up. The story is really well done and the soundtrack is amazing. I know we're only in May but I would consider this the front-runner for GOTY as of right now.

GOTY 2023 IMO. As an RPG lover, one of the greatest RPGs ever made and could argue for the best RPG ever made. The only thing that holds it back IMO is act 3. The act gives off rushed/unfinished vibes but if they polish it, add back in cut content and drop the inevitable definitive edition a year from now I think this will take the crown as the best RPG ever made
