I love XCOM and have over 300 hours played in XCOM 2 and WotC. This is a streamlined version of that game, and I find the tactical combat really fun and a breath of fresh air for the series. The only reason I do not recommend this game is the amount of bugs and crashes. The game crashes constantly for me at seemingly random points. I wish they had done more QA with this game prior to release.
