This is one of the best RTS games ever made, and honestly one of the best games ever made period. It has a community that has never stopped playing, improving and loving this gem of a game. Try the LOUD mod if your interested in PvE for a great ai challenge. Once you've got the basics down get the Forged Alliance Forever (FAF) client and play with others in ranked PvP that still has hundreds of matches everyday. If your even slightly interested in an amazing RTS that has countless hours of possible game play buy it, you wont be disappointed.

This is an interesting game thats unlike most anything else I've ever played. Its a combo of an MMO, strategy, tactical combat, building, trucking simulator, and building games. It's a game where every small thing you do can have an impact on how well your team does. Where even the smallest efforts can have a drastic effect in the right place. It's not for everyone however and shouldn't be thought of as a mindless killing game, rather it should be viewed as a team game first and foremost where sometimes you might have to take one for the team and volunteer to do things you may not want to do. It's a game where a simple flanking maneuver can turn the tide of 12-hour battle. Where a single supply shipment can mean the difference between losing a base or holding against an enemy push. A game where my friends and I formed a 12 truck convoy with random teammates to drive across multiple regions with a lightly armored escort through enemy lines to deliver much-needed supplies to a base that was cut off. When we drove in we were met with cheers of joy and gratitude. Then we did it 2 more times! We took part in the first major engagement of heavy tanks in the history of the game. We launched a naval invasion while somebody played Eisenhowers D-Day speech.

It's a game that ebbs and flows as no other wargame can. It's not perfect. It can sometimes feel like there's nothing you can do to help or make a difference. Its seriously lacking a decent tutorial. Members of our community can sometimes act like fools and it can seem like any new players can't catch a break. It has players abusing team switching and alts.
Players who can act all high and mighty simply because they have more playtime than you. And even a few bugs here and there. Although in my personal experience it runs and plays pretty well with rarely any major issues.

But its a game unlike any other I have ever played, and it lets me act out my trucking simulator fantasies in a war zone. If you're like me and enjoy gathering supplies for your clan in games like Ark or building bases like in Squad or working together with others to come up with a winning strategy or you just wish Euro Truck had a WW2 scenario, then this game might just be for you.
And if you get it and you're confused what you should do next just ask! Most of us are pretty nice and willing to help out anybody who needs it, new or old. I hope I see you on the field! Praise Callahan!
