Not super promising in the current state

Looks quite similar to TF2 but more buggy, and well, with nobody here to play, servers I tried were mostly people hanging around or exploiting bugs

The big promise is the MvM, but MvM is already quite hard so when you're alone in defense with 2 others players with the robots, well there isn't much you can do

AI is atrocious to play against, diplomacy seems to have no effect since at the end some AI will always some start to hate you for some unknown reasons and will drag you into the worst part of the game: even more tedious fights that have their whole ton of problems with on top reinforcement mechanisms that will do their best to only send your units if you manage to survive long enough against the enemy ones

I'm a bit surprised not seeing much review about this game so here I am
Really great and sweet visual novel, the kind of "route" system where you follow the romance between 2 of the 3 protagonists is really neat and allow to see others sides of the personalities of the characters when doing the next one
The only negative point is maybe the price of the game (33€ and it took me 11 hours to complete the game) but still definitely worth the reading experience

The "additional content" you can get on the publisher website is also something nice to catch

From what I saw the game have 2 paths, I did one which took me 30 minutes where half was going through empty mazes, which is definitely not the kind of content I would expect for 7€

Somehow it feels like it's hard to fail making a chess game but here we are

- Getting error popup every time you try to interact with the games
- Bad visual feedbacks (like doesn't display the last piece opposite player moved)
- There is an achievement to give money to the dev, like, come on!

Small cherry on the ♥♥♥♥ cake, game isn't really pretty and the BGM is really boring/annoying to listen to after a bit

Super basic combat system, training / versus mode both seems to be 2P only since I can't access it with a single controller, if the enemy throw you in the air and attack you you can just put the controller and go cook something cause there is no way to cancel a combo, and even if there is the lack of tutorial do that I have no idea how to do so
There is also the "famous" patch (700 yen, so approx 5€, which is pretty much the price of the game) that probably do things if I could manage to win more than 1 combat in a row

Downloaded this to play with friends, we didn't even manage to reach the points where we could create a party together due to bugs

Review from someone that didn't play since 2019

To be honest the game still looks great and stuff but as someone that is a completionist I really hate how half of the profile things are locked behind past event and some achievement (well, one of them) is not unlockable anymore

If you don't care about these things I guess the game still is pretty fun

So, Nier Automata, probably one of my favorite games.
Let's cut this (quick) review into some parts:

Plot
Well, the plot is incredible but I won't speak of it since I don't want ot spoil.

Gameplay
I really liked 2B gameplay, really dynamic even if my best strategy against strong enemies was to send 9S fight them and stay behind with the pod.
To be honest, I think that A2 gameplay is a bit more boring, you hack stuff, it's not that hard and it's doing a lot of damages.
The gameplay with the mech is okay, not my favorite part of the game but at least I knew that boss were going to be easy when I was in it.
And while I'm speaking about the difficulty level, to be honest, I wasn't able to finish the "tutorial" in hard mode, but normal mode really was too easy at least until we can control A2

Graphisms
Really beautiful, if I had to give a negative point, I would say that all these bigs places full of robots are making me a bit anxious >.<. But I guess it's the goal.
The camera is doing an awesome job letting us see 2B underwear (more seriously, the camera movements between the differents part of the game really is great)

To finish this review, I saw some people complaining about the fact that there was a lot of bugs...
Well, I don't remember meeting a lot of them, maybe 1 or 2 small ones ?
Maybe I was just lucky, who know.

Bon, après avoir terminé l'arc de Yekaterina (la loli), je me décide de faire une review.

Commençons par le point qui fâche :
L'absence des options qu'on apprécit voir dans les autres Visual Novel, comme afficher l'historique du texte, ou de pouvoir passer le texte déja lu.

Mis à part ça, j'ai beaucoup aimé l'histoire, malgrès le faîtes que ça soit bien court (5h de jeu pour ma part).
Les bons choix ne sont pas facile à faire, mais bon, j'ai eu que 2 bad ending, alors je considère que je m'en suis plutôt bien sortie.
Ah, et en passant, les images mis dans la page du magasin... arrivent vers la fin du jeu, je trouve ça un peu dommage de se les faire spoiler comme ça...
Et contrairement au tag 'nudité' indiqué sur la page du magasin, et bien non, il n'y en a aucune.

Juste un dernier point qui m'a agréablement surpris :
J'avais pris une capture d'écran d'un bug que j'avais trouvé dans le jeu, et quelques heures plus tard, le développeur à rejoint le streaming de ma partie pour s'excuser du bug et pour avoir plus d'informations dessus. Bref, ça fait bien plaisir de voir des développeurs qui sont bien impliqué dans leur jeux.

A propos du prix... Um... Difficile à dire. Moi en tout cas, je ne regrette pas mon achat, loin de là.
