Great game. If all you're looking for is to shoot maybe it's not for you, but if you like immersing yourself in the game (getting into the story) then this is the best title there is.

Great game. Build your civilization, destroy the AI. Only bad part is the loading times that increase a bunch as you start reaching the end making the win oh so difficult to get to cause you gonna quit way before.

Great competitive FPS. Don't get the free version.

Great game, classic. No brainer, buy!

A very interesting game indeed. You live the life of a 18 year old girl who discovers she can rewind time. There are the stereotypical teenage conflicts, which might sound like the worst thing to have in a game. Even though the game has a very boring setting, for lack of better words, it makes up for it tenfold by being so good at character building.

It's a very good game in my opinion, however I wouldn't say this is for everyone. Download the free first chapter, nothing to lose.

SUPERHOT... A new type of game, the first of it's kind or at least the first to pull it off. This is a FPS game where time stands still until you start moving. This allow for you to make some very cool plays. It's very difficult to explain the gameplay, the best way is for you to download the demo and watch videos on Youtube.

Do Note: The storyline of this game, even if it's very nice and fun, is very short. I finished the main story in less than 2h. However this isn't a game you play for the incredible story, you play it for the interesting mechanics.

TLDR; Try the demo, watch videos.

Game play:

This is a turn based strategy game. You play as a resistance against the alien invaders. A strategy game is a strategy game and all features included would be very extensive for a simple Steam review, however here are some of the key features that I feel sets this game apart from the rest.

- High degree of soldier customization helps improve the devastation when your squad suffers casualties.
- Stealth mode is often active when starting a mission, allowing you to setup your troops and ambush the unsuspecting alien guards.
- Well made out-of-the-action base and map. This game is just as much about individual fights as it is about saving earth and building the resistance. Upgrade your squad, expand your base and decide for yourself what missions you want to pursue.

As a final word I'd just like to say that if you played XCOM: Enemy unknown, this game is an improvement in every category. It feels like a mature and polished title, in terms of game play, and is a worthy successor.

Performance:

At launch this game had some serious performance issues. Now, 3 weeks after launch, I would consider it playable. Major fps drops are less frequent and recover much faster and overall frame rate is stabilized. The game still feels rather unresponsive and it could certainly use some polish but overall it's a good experience. A game like this doesn't suffer as much as other titles when performance is bad. In other words game play will be rather fine however don't expect to be able to play this at a stable 60fps.

Reference specs:

Running Linux with a Intel Core i5-2320, 8GB RAM and a GTX-960 2GB.

Seemed like a very good game, however it crashed way too much for it to be worth (running Linux). Returned it after an hour of playing.

Not at all as good as "Amnesia: The Dark Decent". Really a different game. Didn't like the new title.
