Don't be surprised if one day they monetize launching the game.

I'll let aside the stupidly outrageous bugs and exploits, and i'll just focus on the core game.

New World is a game to play if you enjoy eating your steak well-done. Looking tasty from the outside, but dry as a desert on the sun from the inside. You know it could be better, but you force yourself to keep playing for the sake of eating something.

The Azoth system is annoying and I would be okay with it, if there was actually something worthy to gain from doing the quests. The azoth cap only helps if you are a masochist and you wanna satisfy the need you have for stupid game mechanics. The EXP is insignificant for the travel distance which corresponds to a fifteen hour travel from Greece to Australia. The gear drops work as a dismantle feeding trough, to satisfy yourself if you like having a lot of repair parts which have a pointless cap. So the gear you get doesn't even reward you with the most bland of resource which are repair parts. You probably have the same gear for 10 levels straight and the said perks doesn't even do what they say.

The Combat is decent, if you like a weighty hit at the end of a click. The lore though. Oh my God the lore...
And i don't even believe in God. But this ''lore'' leaves me wanting to kneel at the top of a mountain and pray to Zeus or something. How am I supposed to care doing these, soulless quests, and have the motivation to do them for 60 LEVELS STRAIGHT, if the game doesn't care to make me care! Chopping a tree, picking a berry or hitting a rock is way more interesting than pressing that accept button on any quest. And yes there are more activities for leveling if you don't enjoy doing quests. Those activities are killing bunnies and wolves or crafting contracts from the towns-board. Don't like that either? Grind some dungeons, which reward a pretty amount of exp if you have the tuning orbs. Good luck crafting them.

That brings me to the last topic.

The trade skills. Wanna be a crafter? Good. Get ready to grind the levels and resources only to realize that the materials you need to craft end gear are nowhere to be found. And you know what is the most stupid part? Early materials, WORTH MORE THAN END GAME MATERIALS. Want to craft an epic or legendary item? Great. Go gather some Iron to craft steel, to craft starmetal, to craft orichalcum etc etc. Which man...I would be okay with that if I didn't have to clear my inventory every time I go for a gathering trip.

I enjoyed the game the first 30-35 levels because I was feeling doing progress and getting better and I was enjoying that. Now at nearly 200 hours I feel like I am doing chores in a game that has a backward progression mentality. I feel like eating a well-done steak. And I don't like a well-done steak.

I won't refund, but this is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ welcome to a new player I've ever seen. Been collecting money for months now only to find that servers are down and game keeps crashing even though my system is above the recommendations. Don't purchase this game if they don't fix their ♥♥♥♥ soon.
