Saw the trailers, saw friends play it, thought "this looks like a cute little rogue-lite to pass the time".

Put 30 hours in over the next 2 weeks and come hell or high water I'm going to get those last few achievements.

If you like bullet-hell games, rogue-lite games, and respond well to a skinner box this is probably gonna be your jam.

Oh, and it has a killer soundtrack.

JRPG + Life simulator graphical novel + style oozing out of every pore + either the best soundtrack you've ever heard or the most nails on a chalkboard, there's no in-between.

Great dungeon design, great gameplay, great visual style, all in all a super way to spend 120-130 hours of your life.

Glad to see this series finally getting some attention on PC!

Solid choice/consequence QTE game. Don't play it if you're not willing to watch androids you've become to accept as humans die because you're super bad at picking dialog.

"What if an open world game filled with tropes was actually well designed and the tropes made sense with the character?"

This is the answer to that question. This game is really nothing new. It's a blend of arkham combat with ubisoft-esque open world exploration and tower quests with a gaggle of collectibles and side quests. Add in phenomenal mobility and the requisite RT / DLSS / HFR support for being on PC and you know what you're getting.

I got to scratch couches and rugs, knock stuff off shelves, get underfoot and trip people, play with yarn balls, and there was a meow button.

4/5 meows, the only minor quibble is it's fairly expensive for a ~5.5 hour experience.

Another great entry in the choice/consequence adventure series Life is Strange.

Come in with high hopes and in a good mood, leave emotionally scarred from the traumatic experiences the characters go through.

10/10 will buy the next one and play it too.

Ubisoft is a cash grabbing garbage company who have ruined a good franchise with this entry.

2 years in and it still shows "Left Stick" as the only button prompt for controllers. Texture pop-in from an m.2 SSD that reads and writes at 5GB/s. Oh and they added loot boxes.

What a joke. I keep coming back hoping they will have fixed _anything_ in this game but nope, they released it and ran screaming from it and are never coming back to fix it. Just skip this one and go back to the earlier Trials games.

This game is so good that AAA RPG studios had to start throwing shade telling people not to view this as the new high bar that is going to raise the quality of other RPGs.

You heard me right, the AAA RPG industry is legitimately afraid that gamers will expect this quality of game from them going forward because of just how high quality of an experience this game provides, and they're so scared of this that their developers have taken to making snarky comments about Larian and the game because of it.

It's an absolutely brilliant game so far and honestly I feel like if it continues as good as it's been, it's going to be an absolute masterpiece.

I love driving cars fast in real life, but for whatever reason I have a hard time falling into racing games -- the Forza Horizon series, however, has always been my jam. Something about how they present the content and the blend of sim/arcade racing makes it significantly more "fun" than most other racing games are. I appreciate the somewhat light-hearted approach and silly, over-the-top set-piece story missions and everything, as well as the fact that it's always a tent-pole game as far as graphics are concerned.

FH5 is no exception -- it takes the already lush and gorgeous visuals from FH4 and amps them up even higher, adding RTX support and a significant expansion in draw distance and landscape design. Running on a current gen GPU, you should be able to get 4k/HDR@>60fps with ultra quality settings with no issues -- I'm on an i9-10900k with a 3080Ti and the game absolutely _smokes_ in 4K on the hardware -- even at 2x MSAA with RTX on high I'm averaging above 70fps. A lot of work has been done to ensure consistent frame-pacing as well.

Oh, plus it has the Warthog from Halo and the Delorean DMC-12, so it gets an additional gold star.

A lot of people have had issues with the online, but outside of a couple disconnects here or there throughout the 10 hours or so I've been playing, I haven't had any real issues.

Amazing CRPG. Play it with a friend and prepare to apologize for all those times you "accidentally" set them on fire, shocked them, froze them, or oiled them then surrounded them with a blinding cloud of smoke.
