brown sugar – najbardziej zanieczyszczona postać heroiny (15-25% czystości), proszek w kolorze od jasnobeżowego do ciemnobrązowego z widocznymi grudkami, bez zapachu. Obecnie to najczęściej spotykana forma heroiny, jaką można dostać w Polsce.

biała heroina – proszek o większym stopniu zanieczyszczenia (40-50% czystości), ma kolor biały, ale z wyraźnymi ciemniejszymi nalotami i grudkami.
