I really, REALLY wanted to play this. Easily my most anticipated game of 2023, before SMRPG was announced. Unfortunately, there is a severe bug some users including me are experiencing that causes the game to crash repeatedly during any loading sequences. Every background asset load in-mission and even the Bamco/Fromsoft splash screens are seemingly tossing a coin as to whether or not they're going to crash after freezing your game for about 20 seconds. No solutions or fixes found yet, and no response from Fromsoft, so while this issue is present, I can't recommend an unplayable title in good faith.

As soon as it's patched or solved, I'll be happy to check out this new entry of a series I love dearly and change this review to a positive one. Hopefully sooner than later -- Fromsoft likes to keep us waiting sometimes.

Short, sweet, replayable, and cheap, which makes it a real indie jewel. Insanely tight and addictive movement mechanics vastly make up for the lacklustre combat, and the soundtrack has back-to-back bops.

You can 100% casually in less than 5 hours, any% in half that. All my hours clocked past that are speedruns because I didn't want to put this down yet.

Instant cult classic right out of the gate. Please support the dev!
