First off, I don't review many games or really anything. Secondly I'm a casual fighting game playing and have been since I first played the original Mortal Kombat on the SNES. Lastly, this is the first Guilty Gear game I've wanted to completely learn I picked up Revelator to play causally with remote play.

Now that we got those formalities out of the way let's get on with the review.

Fighting games, are hard to get into for many reason's. From mechanic's to a plethora of combo's and special moves, remembering Frame Data etc. we could be here for days just talking about one of those 3 categories. Strive takes all of that and simplifies it compared to it's predecessor's. Strive takes the formula and makes it to where anyone of any skill level can have a blast at playing it.

-The modes:
*Single Player modes
-Arcade: your normal tower climber however the difference is it starts you off at one difficulty and fluctuates based on your W/L ratio. which is pretty nice for players learning and wanting to practice out side of online.
-Vs CPU: kinda obvious
-Survival: a Mode where you obviously survive through a series of matches to last as long as you can before you lose vs AI

*Two Player Mode
-This is pretty self Explanitory this allows you to remote play with friends and people close by and enjoy the greatness of fighting games in the perfect casual setting.

*Dojo
-Tutorial: honestly probably the most lackluster piece of content in the game. The tutorial teach's you the barebones of guilty gear and nothing more or less.
-Mission: This is where the player will learn everything in guilty gear from match ups, mechanics, simple frame data, and much more this is the real tutorial and traning to understand the whole entire realm of Guilty Gear. also you are forced to do the mechanic or mission 5times in a single session for it to be Graded Complete and you must get 3/5 to pass.
-Training: your normal Practice Mode

-Network
The main things you want to pay attention to in the network are Online Match, Player Matching, and Quick start.
-Online Match has 2 Mode's
*Tower: this is your competitive Ranked where you will ascend and descend based on your skill level.
*Outside: this is your Causal play area.
-Side bar you can make a room "Player Matching" and invite players into your room to play with groups of people.
-Quick start will drop you into a training lobby instead of Guilty Gears strange lobby system and que you up till you find a match if you want to drop into online match you can do a quick start via inside of tower or outside.

-Story
Is very clever at the point of writing this I have not watched it however its a 4.5hr Cinematic with no mini random fights and you get your popcorn and relax.

Now on to the pro's and Con's.

+Pros:(Honestly I could be here for days talking about the positive's but here are a few)
+Netcode is top tier and your able to play with anyone anywhere at anytime in the world.
+Simple enough but difficult enough that any level of fighting game player can get behind it.
+Missions are exceptional and allow for easy learning
+Arcade is good for when you haven't played in months and allow you to get your reigns back
+Music Slaps!

-Cons:
-the 2 bit lobby system is about the only con and even then it's not horrible
-Totsugeki.........(if you know you know)

In conclusion buy this game when your able to new or older fighting game player's, the game is by far easy and user friendly.
