A great pyrenees is NEVER going to catch a coyote - PERIOD. How do I know? because I've seen my dogs interact with coyotes on MULTIPLE occasions. Coyotes are like marathon runners with incredible sprint capacity. Absolutely a pyrenees could take a coyote in a conflict but coyotes would never allow this as they are TOO SMART.
