This game not only ticks the box on the nostalgia for some of us... the whole thing is a beautyful, well done game.
Considering they took VALVE's IP, and that it is a community made project, up to modernish standards... it is mindblowing.
The game works really fine, has a nice level and attention to details and the gameplay feels very much like Valve's own Half-Life 2.
The game is not without its quirks though, since VALVE rushed the Xen chapter on the original, this remake takes some artistic and narrative liberties, that make more sense than the original Half-Life.
Very few pieces of the maps have a few kinks ont he clipping, specially on Xen and just before the end I got stuck at a door and had to use noclip to get the game unstuck.
Regardless, the experience was fun, thrilling, and made me think a couple of puzzles while easing the ones that were too complicated from the original, making the experience as a whole a lot better.
Enemies are though enough and true in spirit and feel to the original while making it A LOT better and pretier. Thumbs up, hands down a worthwile game all the way.
