DOOM: The Dark Ages is a well put together game, and a solid entry to the franchise. This isn’t going to be the same experience as Eternal, the differences will be felt immediately upon your first incursion as the slayer.

The gameplay is a solid fast paced gibfest from the start. If Eternal was a game of well paced and frantic chess, The Dark Ages is trickshot pool with a bowling ball if you’ve abused the most premium roids the realms have to offer.

The music is solid with in combat riffs making you bob your head along as you cannonball through waves and waves of fodder demons seeking your next higher threat demon target.

If you wanted more Eternal, you might receive a similar experience tweaking the difficulty settings and maxing the gamespeed option to 150%. The game seems quite well optimized running Ultra Nightmare graphics, motion blur off, DLSS Quality, and a 3080ti, in heavy combat my fps stays above 90.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase, this game is a lot of fun; and I’m looking forward to experiencing the rest of The Dark Ages has in store for the Slayer.

* I do wish they added some type of multiplayer, death match or the same asymmetrical as Eternal.

Awesome little Vampire Survivors-like with some Diablo flair, fun stuff.

Terrifying, minimal, worthwhile if you enjoy Davids games.

Bought the game at noon, and twenty minutes later it was 8 pm.

Incredibly fun game that more people need to give a try!

I never enjoyed other Battle Royale style games, I could not get into or enjoy Fortnite. Radical Heights may have its issues, but it's a hell of a lot of fun and hopefully more people give it a go.

Fun.
Classic arcade style gameplay.
Rockin' music.
Hard as hell.
Easy to pick up, difficult to master.

Brolands. Play it now before the second one.
