bit buggy at times and id say it needs a few quality of life adjustments but the games solid.

I got the game and thought id play a DND survival game and was hooked when looking at the trailer.

The experience in the game itself is lack luster.
I started off building a base as it suggested and explored parts of the map i found that the map was very bland and lacked alot of character. Most of it was just either fog or grassland with a few animals here and there.

The mobs also werent very exciting alot of mobs just felt very copy paste with no character which is disappointing in what i would consider a DND style survival game.

The NPCs that you collect feel like an extension to my workbench rather than a fun character.

I have yet to play more but the game simply just fails to capture the fun aspects.

i also do not feel rewarded for exploration in terms of loot/weapons.


TLDR
NPCs are boring.
Enemies are copy/paste lacking character.
Map is generic with no distinct landmarks.
Loot economy is not engaging.
Skill tree is also not very exciting and takes a while.

lets get to whats wrong with this.
This game was released with a price tag of 15 pounds. For this you would expect the game to work a tiny bit right?
Nope, this early access game doesnt have functioning lobbies or co-op. when you boot up the game you are likely to have your game crash. the only thing youi can do is play singleplayer. The solution provided to me was to use pre existing servers. I ran into a few problems with this already. firstly theres limited selection for servers, most of them are 200 ping and while you may be able to find 1 lobby people join and speed run the game and theres nothing you can do about it.

This rubs me the wrong way as essentially the game has nothing to offer for its price tag and is unacceptable in its state. I am person willing to support indie studios however out of all the early access games this felt like salt in a wound. Many companies already abuse this feature and this is one of the another example of it.

I am sick of this being the industry standard as many companies can just pass on their lazy content as a released game for consumers to play. The more we allow developers to push stuff like this the more the production standards falls.

In this current state do not buy this game.
