There's a lot of both valid reviews and poorly made (stupid) reviews so here's the overview of whats going on:

Card Progression - There's currently 123 different cards in the game, almost all of which can have 3 copies, we'll estimate thats around 360 total cards to collect (some cards cost much more to craft while some others are starter cards or are so bad they arent worth crafting). The daily 6 deals will hand out 3 random cards per day of 3 different rarities, along with enough tokens to craft around 1-2 cards per day of your choice. from a purely progression standpoint thats not... that bad, actually. From a "how long until i have a good collection" perspective, i actually think its fine. There is one issue, though; the deck you start with lacks any real way to win games, and you'll be outstatted by people with a bigger collection. This makes it unfun and unfair to start out online, which everybody is currently doing (because it is day 1).
Verdict - Progression itself isnt terrible; I would definitely say anyone who calls something as mild as this "greedy" is someone who is upset that they just lost to someone who has good cards while they dont. On the flipside, the starting out experience is definitely trash and those people who left negative reviews because they lost to an opponent with better cards are, in my opinion, justified in doing so. Progression in NK games always starts terrible and gets improved later, im not too worried about this.

Game balance - surprisingly good actually. having 3/4 heroes be viable and only having a few supportive cards being overpowered while not being game-ruining is definitely better than i expected. there is neither an archetype nor a card that is oppressively overpowered.
Verdict - Balance is not an issue right now.

Game content - this is where i think the game goes bad, and the negative reviews should be coming from. This game is just... not finished? there are features that NK talked about adding, like ranked and card booster packs, that just arent in the game. No ranked mode. Nothing you do in any online or offline match matters, you're just screaming into the void. If you think that the lack of content makes the game bad, i would call your opinion a good one. Its only out of personal bias and equally neurodivergent friends to play friendlies with that i find this game fun.
Verdict - It is bad.

(i am not mentioning art because that is not relevant to gameplay but yes it is amazing)

Final thoughts - This game definitely deserves the mixed reviews it gets. I think its a great foundation of a game that gets negative reviews for equal parts valid and invalid reasons. If you think that the gameplay is amazing and with a few tweaks it would be a perfect game, i agree. If you think that the game is an unfinished mess that disregards new players and lacks any real substance, i agree. If you leave a review where you mentioned you play other card games, take your sensitive ass back to marvel snap. This is a ninja kiwi game we play ♥♥♥♥ releases.

1.2 patch update - very good balance changes. more achievement progression was added, helping earlygame progression, and the few bugs that were significant got patched. Very good changes in every aspect except for lack of content, which did not change

its not P2P, in arena no amount of paying can get you ANY advantage, the only thing paying can do is get you all 4th tier towers, which anyone with 2+ hours should have
