twin stick shooter, adventure zelda-like. if you need me to say more, I'm not your guy. this game went way deeper than I expected. I thought there would be some cool puzzles and a bit of bullet hell, but there were abilities, upgrades, and all kinds of secrets. only had to refer to a guide once. I enjoyed the game, and the ending bosses weren't too painfully difficult.

awesome art, solid gameplay, a swath of play styles, short-ish matches, and almost everyone has movement tech to get back into the fight quickly. I'm enjoying it so far.

I didn't think I'd be moved by this game! But I was. Lovely, fun, not too hard, didn't overstay its welcome.

30s hour in, still in Act 1, hasn't gotten old. Eating this game up. I want more, more. Far exceeded my expectations so far.

Absolutely loved this game. I enjoyed the prior titles in the series, but this entry was somehow so much better than the previous games. The art, the story, the gameplay, the level design, all nearly immaculate. I don't usually get as into FPS campaign stories as I did here. That really kept me interested, and it came together so nicely. I thought it would be just another run and gun killing spree, which it was, but it was also so much more.

masterpiece of fps game design. so much variety... so much banging my head against insanely difficult levels I never thought I'd complete. so satisfying to finally get through. the game just keeps going... wow

such a fun and refreshing, new (to me) rhythm game. the variety of difficulty and scaling kept the game very interesting for me as I played through the songs. one of the better default soundtracks for a game like this that I've played. pretty solid community backing the game. would play again!

all time classic

I think this is the first roguelike I've continued playing after beating the game. It was that fun for me. I love rhythm games and I love FPS - this game is the perfect marriage. Interesting powerups and abilities make for a myriad of fun builds. The game clicked for me after a certain point and I was able to start getting wins. Lots of fun. Would play again.

start with the og Lovely Planet. if you like that, this is more of the same but different. controls are only along x axis so it's like og DOOM where you don't aim up or down. some of the challenges are super hard in this one, but figuring out the route to proceed through each level is half the fun. lovely indeed.
