孤雁不饮啄，飞鸣声念群。
谁联一片影，相失万重云？
望尽似犹见，哀多如更闻。
野鸭无意绪，鸣噪亦纷纷。

The solitary goose does not drink nor peck,
It flies around, calling for its flock.
Who remembers a shadow,
When it is separated by layers of clouds?
As it exhausts its vision, it seems to see,
As it grieves, it seems to hear.
Without thinking, the wild ducks begin to clamor,
Confusing the cries of birds everywhere.
