Not as good as Dragonfall but a nice short introduction to the series. The UI is a little oversimplified, the opportunities for roleplaying the character you've built are limited, and the story is a little dull compared to other entries in the series. That being said the combat is fun (if a little long and methodical), the character building system is simple yet robust, and when you finish the story you can play tons of user generated campaigns (but seriously just play Dragonfall, it fixes every gripe listed here and improves on all of the positives).

Fishing is hard but so am I

The game really does look and play like garbage. The immersive sim genre isn't a very popular one, and it doesn't get a lot of love these days but I am very fond of it (Ultima Underworld is a particular favorite of mine). This game however is one I just can't get into. The art style is ugly, the shooting is stiff and unresponsive, and the voice acting and sound effects are abrasive and stilted. A shame because the world and story are pretty cool but they're better explored in later games. Just let this game die already.

Even for nostalgia it isn't worth your time. The physics are primitive, the graphics are glitchy, and as a surprise to no one: The story is bad by children's programming standards. The controls are finicky and slippery and you'll never quite feel in control of sonic. Best to just leave this game in the past.

I find this game arousing.
