Such a classic from so long ago. I appreciate the care that went into this; it was really everything I was personally hoping for-from the music to the updated visuals, as well as finally 'fixing' that peninsula of power bug... *chuckle*
It's a good, silly, and flawed start to the beloved series. Monks forever!

If you enjoyed the first, this is a must play; it expands and adds to the ideas and mechanics of the previous game, and delightfully punishes those who would assume this is just the original Risk of Rain but "in 3D"

Speaking of, they execute the third person perspective for this game quite well, and I'm constantly enticed by the new content on the roadmap.

The new Skills 2.0 during early access has been intriguing, and I appreciate the ability to further refine a play-style on each character available.

Definitely consider it for you and friends!

A gorgeous journey through a mysterious ocean planet, this game takes you in with its breathtaking beauty and audio mystique. As I played, I started feeling a sense of kinship with the various underwater denizens, and felt empowered as the game came to a close.
I clocked in at about 3 hours of play before I finished up, and I ended up missing a couple shells in the last few chapters; make sure you scour every area as you do not get to go back while you are playing through.
Visuals were superb, audio was nigh perfect, controls were a little awkward even on a controller.
I'd give this an 8 or 9 out of 10!
