This game is great if you play with mods. The base game needs some "flavor" with mods to make a multi hour game commitment worth it to play through this game. While there are an abundant amount of options on the workshop to choose from there are consistent issues that i cant find a work around anywhere on. I will configure my mods for a new game, start the game and play 100 or 150 turns. Save shut down, and when i go to re load my save game from the day prior it loads in COMPLETE VANILLA, all mods do not show or active, back out to main menu - check mods - shows all mod active and compatible.....
I have scoured the forums for community solutions because god forbid 2k or Firaxis respond to a support email with something competent and action worthy, I find myself sitting here only being able to play games into the 2nd or 3rd era unless i want to leave my PC running through the night and coming day. I find this extremely disappointing because there have been countless updates pushed out by the game devs and this has not been addressed. I spent the money on the game and all the DLC and find myself not wanting to play anymore.

I have gone through all the logs looking for errors and don't see any issues, all mods are marked to affect game saves and im out of options..............

Fingers crossed CIV 7 comes out soon

This is one of the greatest games of all time. Absolutly my favorite game and highly competitive!
