I cannot in good faith recommend this game, I spent about 8 hours playing it since release and since have decided to remove it from my steam account permanently. I judge games on two main categories; how fun the game is, and how well the game performs, and Cyberpunk 2077 falls short on both counts. If the game had been fun, but buggy I would have been a lot more willing to give it a try.

To start with, the technical aspect, it is recommended that a computer have a Ryzen 3 3200G, 12GB of RAM, and a GTX1060 in order to run CP2077 on recommended settings. My computer exceeds those specifications (see below), and the game runs poorly. I never expected that I could run everything on "Ultra" so I turned down to "High," but the game was running b/w 30-40 fps, textures would take 10-15 seconds to load from low resolution to high resolution. I tried everything on "Medium," with only a negligible boost in performance. At that point, I spent hours tinkering around in the settings, but I never saw more than a 5% performance boost. To me that says that the recommended hardware from CDPR is misleading or a flat out lie.

In relation to how the game is, that is a purely subjective thing. The game is pretty heavily on-rails, and there is no variety in the missions. It suffers from what many action RPG's do in that the core gameplay loop is "Go here, kill this guy, go somewhere else and kill another guy." I never felt like I was the one making decisions, instead being led by the hand to tour Night City.

This game is so much fun! I had never played a bullet hell before so I didn't know what to expect and wasn't sure what to expect. Well, what I got was a gun that has given me 150+ hours of entertainment with no signs of getting tired or bored.
