Tried the game while there was a free trial. (jun6-jun10 2024)
I haven't really played any tennis videogames so I didn't know what it would be like. The game itself is like a scripted as hell, like during every shot of yours you are playing a slot machine. That alone makes it unbelievably frustrating and unplayable for me.
I totally don't understand why anyone would pay for this 60€.
The game crashes a lot during online matchmaking (which isn't surprising because my setup is below the minimum) but then why does the game runs nearly perfectly while I'm in a match be it offline or online.

Simply, I am not able to understand why the game is siting on a "Mixed" review score with only 63% of the reviews being positive. I'm not saying that this game is perfect, because it just isn't. As you may see or have already realized I'm not someone with over 500 hours in Apex who could describe or tell the controversies and negative feedbacks behind the game. As far as I understand people like to hate on Apex Legends for the reason being that it's not Titanfall, and that is actually the truth. They are not the same game. Yet, people still like to hate on Apex for not being the same as their beloved game. (Just to make sure that none of the Titanfall players would get mad at me I would like to say that I like Titanfall 2, I just haven't played it that much.) Another few things that I was able to notice is the high amount of complaints because of horrible servers and bad matchmaking when playing with friends who are in a different skill group.

Now my experience with the game is still not flawless, I've sure enjoyed most of of it but there a few things that make the overall experience sometimes not that fun. First of all on my hardware (I5-7500, GTX 1050 Ti, 32GB RAM, HDD. This is still around the recommended requirements which are shown at the bottom of the Steam page) the most irritating things are the few audio bugs where like nearly all of the sound is gone (probably either because of my PC or engine limitations), and the "absolutely" consistent fps (which makes you instantly get out of the flow that you've had been in) which means anything between 30 and a 120 fps, the main problem is not the 30 fps itself but rather the inconsistent frame time.
Another thing that I had to notice are the "fairly priced" skins, but since I'm not the type of person who buys skins individually I shouldn't really care about it.
I appreciate that we've got a new map to mixtapes, and it's maybe just me but I truly start to hate it after playing on it for probably more than 30 times already without switching to different map.
And it's kinda hard to forget the buggy maps where you can easily hit (or even land on) an invisible wall while skydiving.
The changes made with the start of season 20 are really promising but the game is yet not able to deliver a flawless experience at the moment (about 5 days after the start of S20). For example I'm thinking about the new rank system which should make more balanced lobbies, yet because the ranks got hard reset for everyone which made the truly fun and awful combination of lobbies, to be a bit more specific as an average player it feels frustrating at least to play against past Platinum, Diamond, Master, or even Predator players in Bronze/Silver lobbies. So ranked in lower skill levels at this state is something like a zoo where you can find every pieces that you have heard about from Rookie to Predator. But this problem should resolve itself in a few weeks and shouldn't be an issue until the next rank hard reset.
The new EVO shield system rewards players individually and as a team, with how different legends can earn EVO tokens for their team by using their perks. Using the perks to level up their shields not only makes the team rely on each other a tiny bit more but it also encourages players to move on the maps to use beacons, open supply bins, ect.
The generic things in my bad review
The gunplay and movement still feels good, but that should be obvious because Apex is still to this day played by thousands of players. The graphics is not stunning but still holds up to this day. The voice actors have done an amazing job for the characters. And the sounds (obviously if they work) for the weapons are easily recognizable and distinguishable from each other. And these parts of the game is what makes the players like in this battle royal more than the others.
This review may led you to believe that Apex Legends is not a really good game, but that is far from the reality. Apex Legends developed by Respawn Entertainment is an absolutely good battle royal on the current market that you shouldn't miss out on if you like the battle royal genre as a whole. Even if Apex won't earn your liking, you can't lose more than a bit of your time which is far from good but still better than spending tons of your hard earned money that you've got by working and additional time on something that you will never play/use.

I know I won't change anything with this review, but I just wrote this for fun so I do not care about that fact. If you have read it all through than I feel sorry for you. I am truly sorry for all the grammar mistakes and for not organizing it well and making it so blank.
